Let's get started. After a quick coat of Snowflake onto my Manilla tag I sketched my girl. But would she have short or long hair? Once happy with her look I drew over using a Pitt pen and went with short hair after all. As in past months I use a watery coat of Vintage Lace and then paint around the edge of the face/features with a thicker line of the same colour.
To add extra depth and dimension. I mixed Vintage Lace and Caramel then painted a fine line around the face once more plus layered up a further line of Caramel and then Chocolate Pudding using a super fine paintbrush.
Time to add some colour to her hair and features using Chocolate Pudding and Hey Pesto. She looks like a very stronger character at the moment with her angular features. She needs softening a bit.
I did a little more fine sketching with a Pitt Pen and layered up a coat of Mermaid. I decided to wipe back a design into the paint using a Lin Brown Stencil and once dry sketched around the design using a pencil crayon.
Time for some stamping using a foliage element from Squiggly Ink Flora and Fauna 3. I used Tumbled Glass Distress ink and also some 3rd generation ink using Archival Black. I have now softened my girl even further with the background and shading with pencil crayon. Her top was painted with Orchid.
I completed my tag girl by giving her some little hair accessories using Darcy's Mini 06, a touch of green pencil crayon on some of the leaves and a sentiment from Sara Naumann Set 06.

I haven't taken the plunge yet, my drawing skills are really not good... I do love the background though.
Another lovely face Clare. I still use your technique of frescos followed by pencil crayon for added depth. Very grateful for your skills. X
