Hello everyone, it is Clare back again! I am going to push some of you out of your comfort zone yet again and over the coming semester will be doing a monthly face and Fresco paints project. This week Leandra and Darcy have indulged me so I have 2 projects wrapped into 1 to get you started.
So first I thought I would honor the 4 monthly projects to there own little home and decided on a fabric wrap. I know there will be more aghast expressions when I mention the word sewing, drawing your own faces and sewing...crikey what is Clare going to want next 'blood'...LOL! But this wrap could just as easily be made with Smoothy card and some glue or tape so don't run away from your screen screaming just yet.
I chose to work on calico which was a silly idea really as it can shrink when you add moisture to it, but never mind I made it work and I like warped...tee hee. I cut my fabric to 22cm x 32cm and painted it with Snowflake. Once dry I dotted Limelight all over and used a roller to spread it onto my fabric.
I do hope you will join me and make your own little tag wrap and I can't wait to see your faces projects (whether you choose to be brave and draw; or stamp some faces).
See you soon with another face to add to your collection.
A huge thanks to Clare from PaperArtsy HQ. Welcome back Clare; what a great start to your tag book. Mixing hand drawn images with stamped ones is a great technique and I hope to see lots of people joining in each month and adding to their face collection.
