Tonight we have another take on how to use Elena's stamps from Gabby. I love to see people create outside the normally accepted methods. Today, Gabrielle has done exactly that with a bold background, and she's kept the focal images a tad more subdued by not applying a load of colour to them. This is the exact opposite of what most people do with Zinskis. And of course, being the creative genius she is, they still pop magnificently off the background - what an awesome idea!

Hi everyone, Gabrielle here to show you an idea with Elena's brand new stamps she has designed for PaperArtsy.

I love the quirky hand drawn images Elena draws and this new release has some really cute characters that I think will inspire us all for a long time - from the coquettish Zinis 13 to the 'it wasn't me' Zinis 11 - but I definitely think Zinis 15 knows it was him!!!

I am currently experimenting a lot with black and white images on a coloured background, or vice versa. I made two projects with these amazing stamps - this one has a background made from about 30 layers of paint which gives a  textured stucco feel - the striking images from ZA13 mean they really stand out from the background. I loved the lamppost but thought it might make an interesting stalk - juxtaposing a long stem with tiny flowerheads.

I love how the girl is standing - she looks 'planted' in this garden - like she's refusing to move until she gets some cake. I think we all have days like that!

I couldn't resist my LGM (Little Green Man) and his hat house - so by making these very colourful I could use Black Knight Infusions to create the background. The LGM has a fabulous large head which would look great swopped on the bodies of the other stamps - I think I'd like to experiment with this idea next - for those of us who remember - think Worzel Gummage! I love the 'stones' stamp - very, very useful for those of us who like journalling! Oh! And the huge hat roof could fit the LGM as a hat - so I shall definitely doing this!

There are three 'hanging' stamps and I put two together and added two fragments as if they were picture frames - this idea sparked lots of others. I can imagine these stamped several times and used as a tiled background. Especially combined with the stones stamp!

This new release has lots of choice for us - from large images for a focal point to smaller ones that can be used for backgrounds. Better than that there's so many options to mix and match, between stamps sets and by swopping parts of stamps around that the uses are endless!
