NEW from PaperArtsy {Eclectica³ Everything Art} Jan 2017

NEW: Eclectica³ Everything Art
Tonight we are sharing a new release from Jamie & Kasia Avery, who are the people behind 'Everything Art'.

Kasia and Jamie also run the fabulous online mixed media class called Wanderlust. They manage to offer a lovely balance of teaching about techniques, products and also offer special guest input across a number of genres and skills.

Tied into their classes, every quarter Jamie and Kasia release a stamp set which we manufacture for them. Useful for journalling, there are also some wonderful feature images, background elements, and monthly date references that applied to mixed media crafting as a whole.

For 2017, we are thrilled that Jamie and Kasia will release another 4  Everything Art stamp sets.

To support this release, Kasia has created stunning samples in her own inimitable style, I love her free spirit, she naturally follows her muse in such a gentle manner. I am entranced how Kasia thoroughly enjoys the process of being creative in such an honest and candid manner. So refreshing.

If you are looking for a group with a supportive inspirational focus and practical advice, then I can wholeheartedly recommend Wanderlust to you as that source.

Enjoy!

~ Leandra

BTW: Infusions which used for samples featured in this post will be available Feb 2017.

Hello everyone! Kasia Avery from Everything Art here. I’m very happy and proud to announce our fifth set of stamps created for PaperArtsy. Before I do it though let me tell you a little bit about our stamps in general.

Each set that we design is especially dedicated to all art journalers and mixed-media artists. Our stamps are always full of character, layers and details. Collaged and/or hand drawn by us - Jamie and Kasia Avery.

Very often they are coming from my (Kasia’s) own art journals, but they are only twisted and changed to work best as a rubber stamp. The inspiration to start was our year long online course - Wanderlust that brings together art journalers and artists from all over the world.

EEA05
Our newest set of stamps is inspired by a letterpress typeset. Super versatile, bold and perfect for some big statements. With these stamps you will be able to achieve some fabulous writing in your art journals - brave and full of character. Here are a few examples.

We are very proud to say that for this release we were joined by two amazingly talented artists who  prepared a few samples to show the endless possibilities with this set. Alison Hall and Finnabair!

Here's a video introduction from Leandra this time, with plenty of fabulous samples using all the Everything Art stamps for you to check out!

I also couldn’t hesitate to create, and once I received the set I started producing lots of art journal pages and other mixed-media pieces. Here you can see one of my art journal pages. I built the whole background using quite an organic looking colour palette with some neutral layers of paper so the text can really stand out.

We were so excited when Leandra suggested we make stamps for Wanderlust, although as you are aware, they are useful whether you are involved in Wanderlust or not! I am very much looking forward to creating more sets for you this year too.

Here is another example of using these stamps but this time in a bit different way. This background was created using a little Gelli Plate and PaperArtsy paints. Easy and fast but the effect is pretty original.

The details are even more exciting up close. The dark infusions make the gelli print show up, this bubble texture is wonderful!

The work below was made by Finnabair who decided to use the set as a background. Her grungy and messy but perfectly balanced style emphasised the beautiful fonts of our letters. Thank you Finn for sharing your talent with us.

Tonight Alison Hall has also supported me by making some beautiful samples to share with you using all our stamps. Please go and check out her blog where you will find much more detailed information about these stunning samples and the techniques used to create them.

Alison has been creating some wonderful samples with infusions throughout 2016. She's a real green and blue fan, so the new infusions colours Leandra sent for us to play with were perfect! Take a look at what Alison has created.

'Adventure' using EEA01/ 05 by Alison Hall

EEA05 is such a fabulously grungy alphabet set. With EEA01, I wanted to use the alphabet letters in the background, and I picked out the letter 'a' for adventure.

Art is an amazing adventure, and I had fun creating some yummy texture on this piece! I love that gorgeous collage stamp from EEA01, it makes a great focal image.

'Be Brave' using EEA02/ 05 by Alison Hall
Using the alphabet set EEA05 with EEA02, I picked out the phrase 'be brave', to go with the quote on that beautiful moth, and stamped it boldly with Snowflake Fresco Finish paint.

It's great to be able to stamp bold words on a piece of art. There are some really useful words on EEA02, and I love the large and small rows of pebbles.

'I Believe in Beauty' using EEA03/ 05 by Alison Hall

The Alphabet letters from EEA05 fit beautifully into the large colour wheel from EEA03, and it was a great way to showcase the new Infusion colours. I love the little tiny words on EEA03 too. They are designed to fit in the wedges, but they don't have to!

'Star' using EEA04/ 05 by Alison Hall

This focal image from EEA04 is so beautiful and bold, and the script and stars on this set are fab background images.

Again, it's so useful to have a bold alphabet stamp set to create a title for this or any piece you might make.
~ Alison

Wow, I love Alison's samples, they are full of so many great techniques and ideas!
Next I'd like to finish with a few more samples I made with all the EEA stamps in my own style.

'Journal Pages' using EEA01-04 by Kasia Avery

Loosely applied colours in the form of paints, infusions, and handwriting, but also leaving some blank areas is a low-stress way to record something special about your day.

Stamping bold images randomly and imperfectly to add texture, interest and layers. The new alphabet can be easily used to make a strong statement.

'Grateful Tag' using EEA05 by Kasia Avery

'Encaustic Woodblock' using EEA04 by Kasia Avery

The collage layers almost seem to end up as part of the wood and they appear softer when layered within wax. It's still possible to trap colours and embellishments within and on top of the layers.

'Gelli Prints' using EEA01-04 by Kasia Avery

Gelli prints overlaid with stamped images in pure black. A simple exploration of colour and you can always discover something new you can do with stamps when you least expect it.

Make a border, make a background, or stamp an image on top of gelli prints. No thinking, just explore!

'Hanging Tag Statement' using EEA05 by Kasia Avery

Once you have warmed yourself up with simple ideas, perhaps you enter a more confident creative zone, you might want to venture a step further. Paper scraps and found images are placed on tags, splashes of infusions colour, finally the alphabet words to make bold statements. Finishing touches are white pen accents

Maybe you can find yourself a statement for 2017 to drive your creativity?

I am so pleased that you can enjoy these stamps we have created. I am sure that the new alphabet will become a very useful tool for you, as it is for me!

Please take time to be creative regularly, it brings such joy to be able to create, and make positive statements about your life while doing so!

Let's get MORE creative in 2017
~ Kasia

Thanks Kasia and Jamie for such an interesting look into your creative workd! For those people who have not seen your stamps from last year, below are the stamp sets, and the video introduction for each set made by Kasia and Jamie.
