New PaperArtsy Products: Tracy Scott {October 2022}

Tracy brings you all the variety we know you love to discover in yet another sensational release: three contrasting stamp sets that offer tessellating magic, tribal totems, and endearing (heart) emblems, and 3 more fabulous stencils. As you have come to know with each Tracy release, these products are never quite what they seem. Wow where has this year gone?  I can't be the only one wondering how we got to the end of October.....I'm super excited to back with you to share my newest release for PaperArtsy. 3 new stamps and 3 stencils.

As usual my goal is to bring you a good mix of products with each release that are going to be super versatile and can be used in lots of different ways.

I think the stamps and stencils in this release are ones that you will be reaching for time and time again.

with a laminated storage/index sheet.
  

Tracy Scott Collection stamp set 075 (TS075)

 

Well we all know how much I love to play with pattern and I'm always looking for the next pattern play idea.  Lots of possibilities for this one.....

 

as you can see, plenty of opportunity to add colour, shading and detail. 

   

It's a really good idea to have a play in black and white first to get a feel for placement, but also this time I used other coloured ink for contrast too, just changes things up a bit.

It's always going to look so different when coloured as a whole - the separate designs melt into one larger pattern with the addition of colour. All those petal outlines to accentuate.

I could literally play with this set all day, I've shown just a few examples of some of the patterns but the possibilities really are endless, whether you just stamp with black ink, multicoloured inks, stamp and colour or even build up 3D designs, these will work equally well for backgrounds for art journaling, card making, scrapbook pages, mini books and more....and I've already discovered that they work really well with some of my older pattern stamps sets so that's going to give even more options (now running off to search through all of my stamps and experiment some more!!)

I knew for a while that I wanted to add some African tribal design stamps to my collection and as I am off to Cape Verde in February I knew this would be the perfect release for them, borders, focal elements and pattern options are all taken care of in this set.  I decided for my first sample to make a fun travel journal which I will take with me on my trip....

 

And my second sample of course had to be a mandala.....

  

I love that the mask stamps in this set can be easily cut apart to create other shapes and options and of course the borders and pattern stamps are always going to be super versatile for all your projects.

Love these cute heart designs,  its been a while since I included any hearts in my stamp sets and felt it was the perfect time,  they really will be perfect for lots of occasions. Valentines, anniversaries, weddings or a fabulous art journal pages to name but a few.... lets have a look at my art journal sample....

 

So who recognises the wings on this page.... yep its the bird wings from my stamp set TS053 and they look amazing on this journal page combined with that heart focal stamp don't you think?

PaperArtsy Stencil by Tracy Scott {Large} 350 (PS350)

So I don't usually intentionally design stencils that match with a stamp set but on this occasion I knew I wanted African style border and patterns to give me more options with my new stamps.

Of course I always design so that any of my stamps and stencils can be used as a stand alone product and this one is no exception, use it on its own or combine with the stamps for many more design features.

 

I have already used this stencil in the backgrounds for my African travel journal and also my African Mandala samples so decided I needed to use it in another way. 

So for this sample I used it purely as a drawing template to add pattern detail to my cute giraffe as well as in the background and to create borders for my project.  I love that both the borders and the leopard style block on this stencil can be repeated over and over to cover larger areas.

This one will definitely be getting a lot of use in the future.

 

PaperArtsy Stencil by Tracy Scott {Large} 351 (PS351)

So we all know as well as patterns, I do love a mandala and am always looking at new ways to create them. You could use this stencil in its entirety or in parts to create a fab background for a journal page, card or scrapbook page but for this sample I decided to use it as a drawing template and alter it for colouring.

The larger spaces on this give so many options for doodling, colouring or altering. Im even thinking about attempting an embroidered version and one using the diamond art gems.... 

And of course if you are using the stencil as a drawing template you can even flip it over and create one large mandala (mmm now thinking I need to go off and do this!!)

PaperArtsy Stencil by Tracy Scott {Large} 352 (PS352)

Since I designed my first shapeshifter stencil, I am constantly thinking about adding more shapes to the collections.

These really are the most fun and I can honestly say that no matter where I travel they are always in my bag.... they have definitely become some of my most used stencils.

Mandalas and flowers, journal pages and cards, funky faces and houses, I've even used them to create cute animals, the possibilities for these really are only limited by your imagination.

 

How cute is this Christmas inspired design, wouldn't this look amazing on a journal page or a card for someone special?

 

And I just love the way I can use the stencil shapes and then jazz them up to add some details to my hand drawn projects, the flowing plants in this project look right at home next to my hand drawn design, don't you think?

I resisted the urge to create another mandala this time but I'm pretty sure that will be coming shortly!!
