The JoFy Collection
If
you follow Jo on social media platforms, you will know how much she
likes to doodle. She is constantly adding her own squiggles, dots and
swirls onto her layers, and this release was influenced heavily to the
point where we get doodles inside doodles and flowers, and more! This is
perfect for colouring, layering, isolating parts of images and lots
more too.
Take a look at these gorgeous new designs!

~ Leandra
Hi everyone, Jo here to show you my newest stamps designed for PaperArtsy.
I
think these might be my prettiest, happiest stamp sets yet! They make
me smile each time I pick them up to use them and I hope they'll make
you feel the same!
I really like the doodle details - great for paper-piecing, colouring, 3D layering & I like to doodle on top to extend the design and make them more delicate.
I really like the doodle details - great for paper-piecing, colouring, 3D layering & I like to doodle on top to extend the design and make them more delicate.
Tonight
I wanted to give you a sense of what I might get up to with these
stamps, but over the next 2 nights, you'll get plenty more inspiration
from 2 other fantastic bloggers in their preferred style.
'Framed flowers' by Jo Firth-Young
I enjoyed making these 5x7 inch canvas boards so much! It's great to see them side-by-side, the same but different. I used the new stamps but also leaves from JOFY49 released earlier this year in order to demonstrate how seamlessly the sets blend together. It's a lot of fun to choose common elements to use across the canvasses - colours, stencils, images.
The
more I work with the designs the more options I see in them. For
example when I was making the (6x4in) canvas below I needed something
for the flower stem to stand on...... the answer was to stamp the big
circle onto book text, cut it in half and create not just one but TWO
hills!! Perfect!
By doodling over the top of the stamped image in a contrast ink colour (I used white) it extends and changes the design - I think it makes it more delicate.
Junk Journal Spreads by Jo Firth-Young
I
have a junk journal I play in - it's made up of 5 signatures sewn into
an old book cover. The signatures are made up of this-and-that (gelli
plate prints, envelopes, pages of book text and music score) and it's
somewhere where I just 'play'. Below you can see a few pages I made
with the new stamps.
When
I receive the new designs I stamp them onto plain paper so I can play
around to see how they could work on projects. Some were lying around on
my desk so I used them on this spread as flowers stems on a background
of sprayed ink. Drawing around the bottom edges of the flowers gives
them depth.
But then I started thinking: I can't always have the images growing from the ground - what if I dangled them... So simple but sooo pretty - great for a christmas card!
My final junk journal spread isn't quite finished (it's hard to decide when a page is 'finished' isn't it!) - there's still doodling to be done! I mixed stamped circles, painted stamped circles (leftovers from other projects) with freehand doodling.. endless possibilities....
I planned these designs with paper-piecing in mind and this relatively simple card shows how the stamps can be used. I used scrapbook papers with white pen and Fresco Finish paint detailing.
I'm
really enjoying using these stamps - I hope you do too! I look forward
to seeing what everyone creates and over the next couple of days you'll
see what my fabulous 'wingmen' created with these two new sets...
gorgeous projects!
This seems the perfect time to say a big 'thank you' to them for their hard work.
