"We get lots of trick-or-treaters in our village and I like to try to make something a little different for them, so tonights project will be the perfect "sweet treat".
As soon as I saw this Headstone stamp, I thought it would be
good for making some kind of packet for little sweets.
I needed something quick, as the idea is that I could make a
lot very quickly and using minimal materials.
The design I finally chose couldn't be simpler. One piece of
A4 card and One piece of A4 Paper is enough to make 8. I used Hallowe'en Hot Pick03 and 04, Mini 72 along with Eggplant and Smoked Paprika Fresco Paints.
First stamp the headstone eight times on to white card and
cut out (this is a good in-front-of-the-telly job)
To make the little packets, you could just use plain paper,
but as I had some wonderful hallowe'en stamps, I thought I'd make my own
decorative paper. I stamped a variety of images, a good tip here is to stamp
the large images first and then fill in gaps with progressively smaller stamps.
Randomly brush on some Smoked Paprika and Eggplant paint.
Cut the paper into 10cmx7cm rectangles. Ink the long edges
with Distress Ink (Black Soot).
Roll the papers and glue the short sides to make tubes.
Squeeze the bottom of the tube together and glue.
Fill with sweets then squeeze the top, in the opposite
direction to the base, to form a triangular package.
Glue this to the back of the headstones.
Repeat to make lots!
To access the sweets, just RIP it open.
My first week seems to have just flown by. Join me next month when I will be back sharing more projects with you. I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week and share your creativity with us all.

These are great Joanne. What a fab idea for any party let alone trick or treaters. You could use them for place names at the Christmas table with special chocolate in, oh yum! Having browsed the Halloween stamps on the PaperArtsy website I really want some of them but they are all wonderful images and I don't know which to choose, lol!

I bought my first bag of Halloween candy tonight. I'm sure it won't be my last and there isn't a trick or treater in sight. (lol)
FYI--in the U.S. your little treat holder is called a sour cream container, because some fast food restaurants offer sour cream in a container just like that (to put on baked potatoes, for example). I didn't know if you knew that.
How clever are you! Love the simplicity. Most of the best things are simple, The tutorial is fantastic and clear too! Hats off to you.
