Seth
has had a crazy year teaching all over the world it seems, and has
plenty of exciting plans for the year ahead too! We are thrilled to
bring you another 8 mini stamps, which have proved so popular since he
started up with this credit card size, and he has 4 gorgeous paint
colours to add to his collection, bringing him up to 24 colours - with
more in the pipeline too! I'll hand over to him to share his ideas with
the newest babies in the house, they are gorgeous soft tones, and tie in
beautifully with other shades and I know you are going to love it all!

With this new release, I now have a collection with PaperArtsy of 24 Mini Stamps and 24 paint colors - 20 of my own and 4 that I adopted from the core collection to save them from a premature retirement. But of course I love them, all equally. You can see them all below.
My paint colors were chosen to broaden my color range - and to add a grouping of softer shades to the mix. The designs for my stamps were chosen to provide a combination of background stamps and abstract focal points. Blank spaces were created so you would have the option to color inside (or outside) the lines. And of course, there are circles -- my favorite shape.

New Mini Stamps

A
multi-surface chalk paint that can be applied to any surface without an
undercoat, can be used indoor or outdoor, dries fast and is available
in 150 matte colours (a mix of opaque, translucent and semi-opaque).
It's a great paint for use in your journals, on canvas and fabrics, with
stencils, on wooden substrates and much, much more!

Here are some examples of how the stamps can be used.
Eclectica Mini 49 (EM49)
Like
most of my work, this piece was made with a lot of different supplies
and I love how Mini 49 fits right in. On the left side, running from top
to bottom, Mini 49 was stamped 2 1/2 times and embossed to provide a
strong focal point in a very abstract piece. I also stamped the image
using ink in several other places (bottom center and right) to use the
stamp for background detail and visual texture. I love how the design
looks a bit like a maze or path, guiding the viewer through the artwork.
Eclectica Mini 50 (EM50)
Circles.
I cannot get enough circles. So for Mini 50, I used small circles, thin
loops, thick loops, and a few small random splatters to create a larger
design. In this piece, Mini 50 was stamped in several ways: using the
stamp as a whole, creating a larger design by stamping repeatedly and
adjacently, and using just a few of the circles from the design off the
side to add strength to the border. The stamp can also be used more soft
way as a background detail.
Eclectica Mini 51 (EM51)
I
also love grids but we have already established that I love circles
most of all. So what could be better than both together! Mini 51 is a
grid of multiple, distressed lines varying in width. Set behind are a
series of grungy loops and circles. The contrast of curves and linearity
really appeals to me and I think this stamp captures it well. In this
piece, Mini 51 was stamped three times and serves as a bright,
contrasting focal point. As can be seen, the way the design was drawn,
it is easy to connect adjacent, multiple impressions of the stamp no
matter in what direction it is placed.
Eclectica Mini 52 (EM52)
The
design of Mini 52 is a series of concentric circles with an extension
of grungy lines, both straight and curvy, and splatters. It is meant to
be abstract but I can totally see this stamp being used as a whimsical
tree, a lollipop, a holiday ornament, and so much more. In this piece it
was stamped multiple times to become the main design element. I used
watercolor markers to fill the concentric circles in with color. Both
the circle and the segment can be used on their own for a different look
as well.
Eclectica Mini 53 (EM53)
Mini
53 was used as a frame in this piece to highlight the text. But it can
be used in many other ways as well, for example as a journaling block in
a journal page or scrapbook, a door or window by cutting out the
inside, or - when partially used - as a border or corner (as can be seen
in the lower left hand corner).
Eclectica Mini 54 (EM54)
I
may have been inspired a bit by the season for this one, as I think in
the end the design looks a bit like an subtract version of a holiday
tree with (just a few) ornaments. It also looks to me like a row of
stitches as well. In this piece I connected several impressions to
create a stronger focal weigh that runs from top to bottom. They can
also be laid side by side for a very different look. Any way it is used,
I love the zig and the zag of these lines.
Eclectica Mini 55 (EM55)
Stamp
55 might be familiar to some fans of PaperArtsy, as this design was
originally included in my stamp Set 08, but in a larger size. I love the
design so much, I wanted to get into into more creative hands by
making it a Mini. In this piece, I repeatedly used the stamp to emboss
a background that filled the entire surface. I also often use portions
of it to add just a bit of design and visual texture to my backgrounds
as well.
Eclectica Mini 56 (EM56)
Okay
longtime PaperArtsy fans. Does this look familiar? Stamp 56 was
originally included in my stamp Set 02, but also in a larger size. Hands
down this stamp has become one of my most used stamps for
background detail. Here it is used with embossing powder and fills about
half the surface. Often I use just bits of the design to add interest
to the background. It is one of those stamps I use over and over again.
New Fresco Paints

Fresco
Finish Chalk Acrylic Paints are a matte finish paint, with opacity
varying from translucent, semi-opaque or opaque (see the hand-painted
chevron on each bottle).
These
paints are low VOC, UV resistant, clean up in water and suitable for
indoor and outdoor use, as well as perfect for all manner of surfaces:
fabric, wood, card, paper, chipboard, leather and more.
They
do not require an undercoat, these are chalk based, therefore every
option is like a coloured gesso; the opacity determines the level of
coverage. Thin with any PaperArtsy glaze to increase the translucency to
your preference.
In October 2019, Seth's paint collection became this gorgeous rainbow of colour....
And he has 4 more lovely soft shades to add to this collection...
This takes Seth to 24 colours now offering a wide variety of gorgeous colour options.
