NEW Courtney Franich Stamps: Leaf Wreath Tag {by Jenny Marples}

March 2019 New Products
Eclectica Collection {Courtney Franich}

I love it when our bloggers incorporate a bunch of techniques into a project, and in this little number Jenny has used infusions, Grunge Paste and Fresco Chalk Acrylics to create a vibrant wreath-tag. Fabulous! ~Leandra

Hi everyone, it's Jenny Marples (Pushing The Right Buttons) with you today.

I'm so excited to have had the opportunity to create with Courtney Franich's amazing new stamp sets. The detail included in them is so realistic and the repeating circle motifs on several of the delicate designs coordinate beautifully together.

Here's how the tag came together; after covering a Small Etcetera Tag with Stone Fresco Finish Paint I applied some Gel Plate leftovers to one side (Tinned Peas, Dusty Teal, Sour Grapes and Haystack Fresco Finish Paint). To give it the look of peeling paint I scraped a little Grunge Paste over the top.

The text and leaf fragment pattern from Set ECF06 was stamped repeatedly over the coloured paint strips with permanent black ink.

Using a technique learned from Raquel Burillo Perez I applied dry Infusions (Olive Tree, Golden Sands and Blackcurrant) over leaf stamps from Set ECF05 and Set ECF06, spritzed with a little water and repeat stamped onto Smoothy Super Smooth Card.

After cutting out the leaf shapes I gave them dimension by using a ball tool on the reverse.

The leaves were glued onto coils of wire to create a wreath before being added to the tag.

To finish pearls were added to the background and a sentiment was added from Alison Bomber's Stamp Set EAB01. The close ups below show how much of that detail in the leaf designs was picked up by the Infusions.

This tag really only scratches the surface of what can be done with Courtney's new designs. The combination of nature, text and postal ephemera lends itself beautifully to so many more possibilities.

Thanks for joining me today, I hope you have a creative week.

Jenny
