The Avenue {with Eclectica³ Darcy Stamps by Helen Chilton}

Hi Everyone, Helen here. Today I've had some fun working with the houses from Darcy's Eclectica plate 08, joining them together to make a coordinated avenue.

Here is the Eclectica³ Avenue.

I started out by stamping a selection of houses onto white card. It's very easy to create different houses by masking or just using a part of an image:
EDY 08

Then I coloured them very quickly with Distress Stains: These blend easily and as you can see they don't cover the black lines of the stamping.

I then added detail and shading with Distress Markers:

I layered the whole row of houses onto black card leaving enough space in between to score a fold. If your card's not wide enough just add an extra bit with a hinged flap. Then cut round the outline.

To finish, I added more details in stamped coloured metal, this adds a little dimension.

Fold your card in between each house, alternating direction, and your row is ready to stand up.

Which house would you like to live in?

Hope you enjoyed visiting Darcy Avenue! Why not create your own row of houses, to stand on a shelf or to give as a 'new home' card.
Until next time. Helen

A huge thank you to Helen from PaperArtsy HQ. This is fabulous, we love your Eclectica³ Avenue.  How wonderful would it be to live in such a happy vibrant place. I would quite like to live in the one with a round door, it's a bit like a hobbit house.

If you would like to join in our weekly challenge with any of this week's guests who have blogged since Sunday night, then join in to link up your creativity HERE. You will go in the draw to win PA stamps of your choice! You need to link your entry by17:00 (London time) Sunday 16th March 2014.
