We thought we'd challenge our bloggers to use 4 different stamp collections on one project. Sounds like fun to me! Miriam has used one of our Ink and the Dog stamps (our first collection released back in 2004, we never discontinue stamps!), together with stamps from France, Courtney and Seth. Hi everyone, it's Miriam with you today, and I'd like to share with you a 6 x 6 inch art panel that can also be adapted into a card.

When I saw the stamp mashing topic I was incredibly excited. The designers images all work so well together and it was an opportunity to use as much or as little of a stamp as I wanted.  To create my project I gathered all of my products that I wanted to use and set my creativity free.  I would really encourage you to do the same.  

 

I started off by choosing my favourite Fresco Acrylic Chalk paints Mermaid, Twilight and Tinned Peas.  Blues and greens are always my go-to colours.

I brayed the paints over an A4 sheet of Smoothy cardstock.  I had decided that I would create a whole background and then cut it into panels for my project.

Once I was happy with my brayered background I started to stamp randomly using various stamps from Seth Apter, France Papillon and Courtney Franich.  

I stamped using Archival ink but this technique is perfect if you want to stamp using Fresco Acrylic paints.

Once I had stamped randomly all over the cardstock I used the large background stamp from Courtney Franich and stamped all over the whole sheet of card using a light grey Archival ink.  This really added extra detail and I was really happy with it.

I cut my card into a panel to adhere to a board which I had covered with black card.

I used part of my stamped background to stamp the main image using Black Versafine ink.

I simply adore the Ink and Dog collection of stamps and have so many.  

I loved the look on this scholar's face. I thought the France Papillon quote was perfect with it.

I had so much fun mashing these designer's stamps together.  I had so much creative freedom to create without thinking.  And they all worked really well together.

I really hope that you have a go at mashing your stamps together and have some fun creative time to yourself. This really was such a fun project to create.  What was even better was that I still have a section of my stamped background to use on another project.  If you didn't want to create an art panel you could create a card and use the left over background to create a matching gift tag.
