Hi everyone, it's Lynn Good, Memories On The Page Blog with you today, and I'd like to share with you a couple of pages that I have done in my art journal.
Using the "Hinged" theme I have added some extra pages to the existing pages by using washi tape as my hinges. I love using this technique as it means there is more room for photos and journalling. In this example I am yet to add my photos as I am waiting for the trees in my garden to fully bloom and the rain to stop for better photos!.
I started with some plain art journal pages as well as the extra pages that I added after painting.
I have then used a brayer and Paper Artsy Fresco Finish Paints - China, Gumboots, Celery, Willow and Autumn Fire on all the pages (both sides).
I then needed to push the colour to the background a little so chose an opaque paint to do that; Nougat.
To add dimension, whilst the paint was wet I placed a stencil (PS123) over and wiped across the stencil with a wet wipe, removing the nougat colour paint to reveal the paint underneath.
Once I had done this to all the pages and the paint was dry I added some stamped images and joined the loose pages to the art journal using washi tape. I have used stamp sets ESN41, ESN44 and ESN 45.
To finish it off to the stage where I can add my photos I have created green photo matts and adhered with washi to all sides or just to one side so that it can create a flip effect.
I have a small video of the pages turning so you can get an idea of how the pages came together. As I said earlier - once the weather clears I will be able to take some photos of my garden and add them to the page with some small journalling.
