When Tracy first spoke to us about designing stamps, this release was what she had in mind. We pushed her to think about other types of designs initially, as mark-making seemed an area we had got covered pretty well with Ellen Vargo, Seth, Sara. But mark-making as a trend seems to still be super strong, and even though every release Tracy tends to go in a wonderfully unexpected, new direction - these stamps she had in mind from the get-go provide a nice link between all those different stamps she has created. 

If you followed us while we were exhibiting at the 3 trade shows in January, and February, you will be well aware Tracy has a new Lace Book in production - we hope to have it available next month. This 'lace journal' is a ready-made version of her hand-cut journals she has been teaching widely last year. Tracy's mark-making stamps will be very useful for gap filling on those pages, and naturally, they also will work marvellously to build up layers behind her huge flower focal stamps too. If you are like me, you can't have too many mark-making stamps, and I am sure you will identify designs that will be perfect on your gel plates, brayered backgrounds, or finger painted backgrounds with ease. I'm super excited to share with you my newest release for PaperArtsy....8 new mini stamps

I've been wanting to do some mark making stamps for a long time now and the option to do mini stamps fitted perfectly with this theme.
As an avid art journaler, mark making stamps are always useful for creating interest to a background but I wanted them to be able to be used in other arts and crafts too.
I've created several different projects tonight to show how versatile these stamps can be.

New Mini Stamps

Price: RRP £4 +VAT

All stamps are individually trimmed onto cling foam, presented in a clear hanging bag
with a laminated storage/index sheet.
 

 

Ive tried to create a few different projects with these minis to show you how versatile they are...

I just love the way that these minis not only work perfectly together to build interesting backgrounds but as you can see in the above ATC Tryptich project I have combined them with some of my older stamp sets for my focal images and they look great.

A quick and simple greeting card, the background for this card was created in less than 5 minutes and looks so effective, I used coloured ink pads to stamp a couple of the minis onto watered down Cerise paint, a few paint splashes and a focal image and its done.... how cool does this look?

One of the things I love to do when I'm having a creative block is to create mixed media idea cards, these are smaller pieces of work that are easy and less overwhelming to work on and if I like what I create then I can use that piece as a springboard to a larger project. 

Background stamps almost always play a part in these cards, they are my 'go to' comfort zone. Above you can see three different cards that I worked on simultaneously to give them a cohesive look. 

I love to combine a multi coloured background with black and white elements and on the above project not only have I added a black and white focal image but i have also used one of the mini stamps to stamp up the card itself for mounting, the black and white pattern it creates on the card looks striking against the colours don't you think?

The butterfly and quote on this card were sitting on my desk left over from a previous project so I needed a cool background to go with them. I love the style of keeping this card primarily black and white using a mix of the mini stamps to create some interesting layers.

That contrast between the lovely bright colours and the striking black and white, with just a few paint splashes - I'm calling this one done.

I think I need to do an art journal page based on this card... next project i think?
