Stamp Magic Craft Show {Donacster}

September and October are always crazy-busy months as the shops we supply go bonkers ordering and re-ordering for Christmas, their busy classes, and the extremely busy Autumn craft show schedules throughout Europe at this time of year. Of course we ship to shops all over the world, so every day there are boxes and boxes of PaperArtsy paints, stamps, grunge paste and other goodies heading all over the world from little PA HQ.
Despite all this caziness, this coming Sunday we are squeezing into the schedule the 'Stamp Magic' craft show held at the Doncaster Dome, in Doncaster. This will be our third time at the show, and we are fast developing some regular customers who like to see what we are up to, and all that's new.

In the spring I had the lovely Michelle Webb demoing beside me, and this time it's Darcy's turn. She will be weaving her magical methods with paint, and texture into her demos, so if you are near Donacster, do drop by to see how much fun we have on the stand and all the new stash we have to show you! Bound to be a little bit crazy. The blog boss chicky babe, Gillian will also be there to make sure the paint is restocked and to keep us all in check and on task. Good luck with that Gillian! LOL
And we have LOADS of new stock that keeps landing on the PA doorstep this autumn. I spent all of Saturday pricing up the latest big order that arrived in, so I have nice sneaky piccies to show you.
Many of you have either done classes, or have classes booked with the amazing Anna Dabrowska, also called Finn. Her brand 'Finnabair' is the name to look out for!

She has been producing lines with Sizzix and Prima for a couple of years, and personally, I think she is currently the hottest thing in the craft industry. Go check out her blog to see what she does. I was lucky enough to take a class with her a year ago in Cork, and I am delighted to say we have on the stand her entire Prima line. And wow, the prices GREAT compared to similar products we have seen in recent years!
She has flowers, metal embellishments, you can make the coolest things combining her products in all kinds of awesome ways. PLUS they look amazing sprayed with fresco paint, tickled with treasure gold, and that's just for starters! Here's an example from Finn's blog, you can see how frescos would work perfectly sprayed on too!
And you must check out these canvas resist journals and 12x12 resist sheets and borders from Prima too. These are perfect with frescos and the journal covers are kind of padded, so they are awesome with Finn's other items sewn or glued to the cover! Itching to play with these. See what Finn has done with them here on her blog, here's the example , below, lifted from her blog. I just love this, the texture, colour, resist, soooo much fun!
Flowers galore on the stand too, they make superb additions to any project, and I think these Bo Bunny packs have a nice mix of fabric and paper flowers in really useful colours.

Do you see the paintables below? Those are like watercolour postcards, vintage styley, that can again be sprayed or painted, inked and so on. Really good with frescos. And those boxes of wooden bellies flew the other week at Port Sunny, you get 6 each of each type in the box,and apply Treasure Gold directly to them for an instant metallic effect, or paint first then TG them!
We also have got some paper lines in. I'm really liking this Avenues collection from Bo Bunny, there is a cool mini chipboard album, and a journal with page inserts, dividers etc. These make great presents. I'm thinking the latter would be an awesome recipe book.
We also have some Christmas papers of a vintage feel in nice sepia tones, 12x12 pads, and some Prima 12x12 collection packs too. Heres another example below. It's been a comment I'm hearing a lot lately, that nice papers are hard to find, so I've been buying in some papers that I think have all kinds of uses.
Plus I got my hands on all kinds of the newest stencils from Crafters Workshop. IMHO they are the nicest stencils out there, the detail is really sharp, sometimes the insides of stencils can be jaggy because the original image quality is poor or the cutting method is not as good as it could be. I find CW are always smoothly done, and the imagery not too large making the stencil versatile for all kinds of sized projects. I have also ordered a bunch of stencils that Lin recommended I try from another lovely company, but I don't think they will arrive in time...fingers crossed! Still, there are plenty of others to choose from in the meantime, and anything new will go online in time for you to snaffle up some ASAP !
Plus, exciting news...some of you caught on twitter a tweet between Darcy and I <that I was supposed to send privately, tut, tut, tut..> regarding her Xmas stamps, so that secret was out of the bag a bit early! Lol. Hey ho....

So.... here is a sneaky snippet peek of the tiniest bit of one stamp on one plate.....
And here is a teeny tiny sneaky snippet from another stamp off the other plate....

Helpful...or not??? LOL

...suffice to say, she has designed 2 wonderful new stamp sets, {perfectly timed for Christmas, and her demos this weekend} ...and these stamps have fabulous elements that work perfectly with her existing stamps, and yet have a distinctive Xmas theme.
We have everything crossed that they will be ready for us to press a few and bring them to Doncaster. This is a bit of a challenge for a few reasons beyond our control that I won't bore you with, but I am staying positive that they will be available.

So, the show is on Sunday in Doncaster, details here....we really hope to see you there!
