Hi Everyone, Leandra here
This blog post primarily contains information for the shops we supply all over the world, but especially those within England and the EU who are planning to come to the Craft Hobby and Stitch International Trade Show,
NEC Birmingham, Feb 16-18.
As you might already be aware, this is the UK's annual and largest trade-only event. Craft Distributors, Manufacturers and suppliers (mainly from UK, EU but also some from USA)some to show off their newest products to Craft, Hobby and Art Shops. It's an exciting time for our industry here as this year, and last year, the foot print of the show has increased clearly sending a signal that this sector of business is doing well for retailers and suppliers alike.
PaperArtsy is stand A42, situated as usual,
in the back left hand corner of the main hall, with a lovely coffee cart and snack stand
nearby.
If
you are a retailer and intend to go to the CHSI trade show (everyone refers to it as 'stitches', despite a name change a few years ago), then you need to know that
Leandra has organised a fabulous retailer training day where you can
enjoy 6 hours of hands-on learning about all thing new from PaperArtsy the day BEFORE the show opens at the Birmingham NEC on Sat Feb 15th, 10.30-5.30.
As we are releasing 85 brand new products across our various Designer Collections, this is going to be the first opportunity to get some quality, hands on time with everything new.
At this event you will take 2 classes, learning directly from 2 of our designers, Lin Brown, and Jo Firth-Young about their wonderful ideas with their newest products, and you will leave the classes with plenty of product, your amazing samples, and a head full of great class ideas.
The Eclectica³ Class - A Flora and Fauna Forest
The Eclectica³ is a designer 'mash-up' of ideas with stamps, paints and complimentary products from two designers of Eclectica³ Collections; Darcy and Lin Brown.
Products from both Darcy and Lin will be showcased in this class along with new sets of limited edition paint colours. We will explore and share tips for fantastic Grunge Paste and stencil techniques, and guide you through a step by step development of how to incorporate 12x12 patterned papers with Translucent paints to good effect.
Taught by Lin Brown, this class will result in you taking home a 9"x12" canvas board decorated as above or similar (your preference) ready for display in your shop. Your improved understanding of PaperArtsy products will give you confidence to order at the show to suit the needs of your customers perfectly. Of course, you will no doubt adapt the ideas learned to card making, scrapbooking, journalling and other mixed media possibilities.
The JOFY class - Lashings of Loveliness
Jo's stamps were our fastest selling new product line last year, and have found their way to every corner of the world in the last 12 months. They are undeniably gorgeous, oh-so-striking and adaptable to many crafting opportunites: fabric, sewing, card-making, colouring with with markers, chalks, paints, scrapbooking, journalling, and Jo's own favourite, interior decor pieces.
This year she has added some elements that scrapbookers and journallers in particular were screaming out for. With a range of stamps that is so appealing, making the decision to have a selection of these in your store is easy. To do a class with her is lots of fun, she is very experienced, and regularly teaches in many of the shops we supply.
So what is new in Jo's world? She has a wonderful limited edition paint set, and plenty of stunning stamps that will offer huge versatility; fitting in with what has gone before, yet adding some new options too. You'll have to wait for the full reveal coming very soon, but we know the popularity of this collection will continue to grow massively in 2014. We have all stock ready to ship immediately after the show.
So I think you will agree that this retailer training day will offer you the chance to make 2 completely different style of projects, and figure out exactly which PaperArtsy products will work best for your shop and your customers.
There are still some spaces
available, so if you qualify as a trade customer to attend the Craft, Hobby and Stitch International Trade show,
then why not head to Birmingham a day early, and learn hands-on about the 85 new
products PaperArtsy is launching at the show this year - their biggest
new release of product ever!
The day costs just £48 (incl VAT) for both classes, and you will leave with
more than that value in product, plus your class projects, and lots of ideas
and new-product knowledge. This is an opportunity not to be missed for
retailers and your in-store teachers.
