A note from Leandra:
Alison's
stamps fill the need for that p[erfect finishing touch to any project
and they seem to sit well across any genre or style of stamp collection.
I love how the words she curates are uplifting, positive and heartfelt.
She themes them to suit seasons, topics or emotions, and that means
that within a set you can find several options that might fit the bill.
We have so many people who love to collect these because they can always
find a sentiment to chime with an occasion or situation so perfectly.
I've been having lots of fun playing mix and match with various different PaperArtsy collections, so as always there are plenty of samples for inspiration - just quick looks here at PaperArtsy, with more details coming at Words and Pictures over the next few weeks.
Let's check out these sets, and I'll share some of the ideas behind each collection, and some close-up photos later on in the post.

House & Home
House & Home
The
House & Home collection has a lovely cosy feel to it, and given my
love for little houses (dollshouse work, anyone?!), I thought it was
about time I had some quotes to go with that. These will pair well with
so many stamps in the PaperArtsy world - there are some recent Zinski
houses that I think I'm going to have to get hold of now, as well as
houses, windows and doors galore across so many other collections. And
of course, you could use these quotes with tiny house die-cuts, 2D or
3D. Here's just some of what I got up to with the quotes, and you can
see some close-ups later on.
I
wanted the warmth and traditional feel of browns and sepia for my
houses and homes, with the freshness of the blues and greens for the
landscapes they are set in. There's Lawn and Granny Smith, Smurf and
Summer Sky and a range of neutrals from Chalk via Eggshell and Taupe to
French Roast. Take a look at the quotes in close-up further down the
post... there are some pretty famous ones in this set!

Magic & Wonder
Magic & Wonder
Magic
& Wonder is right up there with my favourite collections - it is so
uplifting and mysterious... full of magic and wonder! When you need a
card to send some positive thoughts, or when you have a journal page
which needs a little touch of something special, or you've created some
wonderful altered art or mixed media magic, this set should have
something to offer you. Here's a taster, and later on there are some
close-ups of my first adventures with this magical, wonderful set.
There's
a magic and a mystery to shades of purple, I think, so for this
collection the Lavender and Wisteria paints came into their own
alongside the Lawn and Granny Smith and the selected neutrals. There's a
twilight beauty to the palette - that most mysterious time of day, and
the magic of Mother Nature also features strongly in these samples.

The Time Edition
The Time Edition has some deep and profound quotes and some quirky and humorous ones, so there should be something for most tastes and all sorts of cards and projects. Again, there are so many clock images to be found in the PaperArtsy stamp collections, not to mention all the clock face embellishments and dies available, so it's great fun bringing the words to life with the pictures you choose.
I
dived in with blues and browns (no surprises there for anyone who knows
me!) but with a twist of turquoise for these timeless words and
phrases. So it's Smurf and Summer Sky with the neutrals again, but now
with Mermaid, Aquamarine and Bora Bora to warm things up a little. Take
a look at some of the close-ups to find your new favourite quotes!
EAB15 House & Home
One
of the most well-known quotes in the House & Home collection is
actually a song lyric... I expect you'll be humming along by now!
And how perfect is this tiny little Lynne Perrella cottage to go with it? But I can also imagine these words on a 3D little house, or as part of a journal page or a new home card... so many possibilities.

another Lynne Perrella image which was just crying out to be part of
the House & Home sample-making. She carries the idea of her home
with her wherever she goes, not only in her mind but in her heart. And
lots of scrumptious brick texture too, just for good measure!
And
I couldn't resist these Dutch houses from the Hot Picks. This is an
all-time favourite quote of mine, and Rilke is one of my most-quoted
writers. Time to step outside of your house and experience the world
outside...
But
if the outside world is all a bit much for you, the magic of home will
restore you. Darcy's adorable little house would definitely be a
magical place to live, even if it is only on a tiny ATC.
And of course the idea of "magic" leads us on beautifully to the next collection of quotes too!

EAB16 Magic & Wonder
The
first place my imagination went with these magical quotes was to
Fairyland. And along with these magical fairies, I found myself
exploring the mystery of fungi. (They're neither flora nor fauna...
what's that about?!) Scrapcosy's wonderful mushrooms are the perfect
home for the Paper Doll fairies.
I couldn't have a collection of quotes about magic without a quote from the master storyteller of fairytales himself, Hans Christian Andersen.
And Meister Eckhart was a theologian, philosopher and mystic who also clearly knew a thing or two about magical thinking...

As
I mentioned earlier, the wonders of nature played a big part in these
samples. Nature always features strongly in my crafting, so it's no
wonder really. Courtney's bubbling leaves, full of airy music were an automatic pick for me. What springs first to your mind when you think of magic, I wonder?
There's
more magic from Mother Nature in this tag using the Hot Picks birds in
the grass, and the infinite power and magic of the opening of a William
Blake poem.
If you know me well, you're probably wondering where Lin Brown's magical wild grasses have got to... Well, wonder no more!
And they are paired with a favourite writer of mine, W.B. Yeats, and a quote which is so full of magical possibilities and potential that it leaves me almost breathless. That's the power of words.

And now I think it's about time we got around to...
EAB17 The Time Edition
We'll
start with this trio of ATCs... These short quotes, or "one-liners" are
perfect for smaller projects like this, or for tags. But even though
the words are few, the ideas are still big. And the Hot Picks clocks
are just right to draw our attention to those special moments in life.
Another delightful Zinski girl is up next... the mischievous look on her face makes me wonder exactly what she has been up to today. But tomorrow is a fresh start...
And
the glossy embossing gives a cheeky lift to the words over the dark
French Roast background. Oh, how I love being able to emboss the
words! I can see this quote being great for cards and for art
journalling.
The Hot Picks clocks are in action again, just as background this time, for the next tag.
And I think Marthe Troly-Curtin hits the nail on the head with this quote... It's the perfect answer to anyone who's ever told you to stop wasting time with something they can't see the point of, but which is pure pleasure to you.

As
well as wit, there's real wisdom in lots of these Time Edition words. I
think J.M. Barrie is picking up on a similar idea as Troly-Curtin here,
but he puts it slightly differently. In fact, you don't need to be
doing anything at all, and you still won't be wasting time!
I
thought this Hot Pick girl was the perfect match for these words -
she's clearly enjoying some golden moments - but I can also see this
quote in so many other ways. How about you?
And
finally a really profound and inspiring thought from Thoreau... and for
me it was time to reach for those wonderful Lin Brown grasses again,
and some glossy light-catching embossing.

hope that gives you an idea of how versatile and useful these words can
be. From the homely to the magical to the eternal, there are some
words here to suit your artworks and craft projects, whatever your
