Elena's stamps released 2 days ago are super fun!! In this post, Helen's fabulous stencilling and pen work is the perfect backdrop for a multicoloured majestic Efilump! In the meantime, here's a reminder of the new stamps.

Hi everyone, it's Helen with you today, and I'd like to share with you a super quick journal page using Distress Oxides, stencils and the lovely Efilumps. These stamps will make everyone smile - they've got so much character.

Start off with the stencil PS040 and some Broken China Distress Oxide.

Then add some Peeled Paint, overlapping as you go. You'll start to see some interesting shapes appear.

I added some Spiced Marmalade Zigzags with stencil PS017

I then gave it a spritz to soften up the edges.

I then planned out my stamping. I raised the efilump up a bit otherwise he was too low down on the page. Those blocks work really well; I might make them into steps next time (or plant pots?).

Then those shapes in the background were calling to me, so I thought I'd pick them out with pen.

I'm going to work on the other side of the page next to finish it off. I really enjoyed adding the doodling and a bit of a splatter and the stencils lent themselves particularly well to this. The efilumps are quick to cut out as well, although you could mask them off if you prefer. This really was a speedy make as I just went with the flow.  It's great to make something free and easy where anything goes. So get out your stencils, inks and stamps and have a go.
