NEW: Alison Bomber {by Alison Hall}

February 2019 New Products
Eclectica³ {Alison Bomber}

As you are probably aware, Alison Bomber announced her new stamps 2 days ago here on the blog. Today Alison Hall is here to share some ideas with you, but first let's take a quick second look at the new stamps. All are available now from PaperArtsy retailers. See Alison's announcement for stockist details.

Hi everyone, it's Alison Hall/Craftytrog with you today, and I'd like to share with you some cards that I made using Alison Bomber's stamp set EAB11, together with Scrapcosy's stamp set ESC18. They go so well together, as there's a lovely butterfly stamp in Scrapcosy's set, and Alison's quotes feature wings and butterflies.

Master-boards are fairly easy to create, and they are so useful to create a few cards with.

I brayered some Pine Grove and Seaglass Fresco Finish Acrylic Paint onto an A4 sheet of Smoothy Heavy Card, and added some stencilling with Peach Nectar Fresco Finish Acrylic Paint and Scrapcosy's new stencil PS134.

Then I stamped one of Alison's quotes from EAB11 with Pine Grove Fresco, and Scrapcosy's script from ESC18 with Snowflake Fresco Acrylic. I also added some watery splatters of Peach Nectar Fresco Acrylic.

My first card has Scrapcosy's lovely flowers from ESC18 stamped with black archival ink in the background, one of Alison Bomber's quotes from EAB11 stamped on a small scrap of the masterboard, and Scrapcosy's butterfly from ESC18 was stamped twice on white Regular Smoothy Card, painted with PaperArtsy Fresco Metallic Glaze, and cut out.

The second card again has two Fresco Metallic Glaze painted butterflies from ESC18. The background has some bumped stencilling, using Scrapcosy's stencil PS134 with Pine Grove Fresco first, then Snowflake Fresco on the top, but bumped slightly down and to the right. I added more stamping with that lovely Franz Richter quote from Alison's EAB11 set.

My masterboard pieces are getting smaller now, so this next card simply has some more bumped stencilling with PS134, and there's that Franz Richter quote from EAB11 again!

And finally, a small strip of masterboard with Authentic Beauty from PS134 stencilled half on half off with Little Black Dress Fresco Acrylic Paint, then that well-known William Blake quote from EAB11 stamped in black archival ink below.

I hope I've inspired you to go and make a master-board of your own. Alison's marvellous quote stamps make card-making so easy, with a little piece of master-board and stencilling, as shown above. But of course, Alison's quote stamps work equally well with many other techniques and substrates.

I love the words echoing in the background on the masterboard, and your card designs are so effective. I love that last one with the strip of colour and the stamped and stencilled words working together. Beautiful - thanks so much for your lovely samples and ideas.
