NEW: Tracy Scott {by Carol Fox}

Jan 2019 New Products
Eclectica³ Collection {Tracy Scott}

We have Carol to share with you using Tracy's new stamps, and she has made a wonderful little booklet using a kind of masterboard idea in pretty, pop-pastels. Stockist info can be found here. First up, here is a reminder of Tracy's 3 stamps and stencils. ~ Leandra

Hi everyone, it's Carol with you today.

I love layers, using the same stamp or very similar one as part of my layers on a project is something I do often. These stamp sets really appeal to me because of that concept, they mix and match so well and with this in mind I made 4 postcard sized pieces. mixing up two of the stamp sets and stencils and then joining them up into a little concertina book, because I do like a book. But these would work just as well as a card front or an individual postcard to send in place of a card as I often do.

Throughout my project I used Fresco Finish Paints in, Bora Bora, Bubble Gum, Limelight and Banana along with my obligatory Snowflake and Little Black Dress and worked on Heavy Weight White Smoothy Card.

Using my paint and dry brushing I got lots of layers using the stamps and stencils.

Adding stamped images in coordinating colours added to my layers, stenciling over the top added more interest

Colouring some of the stamped dots and then adding more in a denser black adds even more layers.

Layered up onto the black background and adding stitching, to give a nice border.

Layered onto Kraft Card and joined with tape.

I like how the stitching gives it a little bit of a grungy feel.

I loved how the stamp sets worked so well together and the stencils were a treat to use as the larger shapes worked really well on my postcard sized backgrounds. I could have stopped at the stage where I had stitched them onto the black card and just used them as cards , or the stage before and used them as simple postcards to send through the post, but as previously mentioned I do like a book of any kind so their destiny was to be a concertina book, but I do with in retrospect wish I had used a thicker joining material as I think this would have made it more substantial, but hey-ho I now know that for next time.

Thank you for visiting today and you can find me at the following places.
