2015 #13 Passage Through Time {by Kate Yetter}

 2015 Topic 13: Time

Hello everyone, Kate here, joining you this evening with a post on Time. I am sharing a altered book cover using time pieces in my background.

Step 1: I started off by choosing an old leather-bound book. I covered a time-piece stencil with Grunge Paste and allowed it to dry.

Step 2: After the Grunge Paste dried, I added water to Bora Bora and applied it to the cover with a paint brush.

Step3: I sprayed the Bora Bora with water, spreading it into the groves of the cover.

Step 4:  After the Bora Bora was dry, I added Maple Sugar Glimmer Mist and allowed it to drip down the cover.

Step 5: I stamped my focal image from the Lynne Perrella collection and colored it using Fresco Finish Paints. I detailed the image with a pen.

Step 6: Lastly, I collected all of my embellishments and placed them where I liked them.

I hope you will incorporate the Time theme into your upcoming projects. Whether it is an altered clock, scrapbook page or a page on family genealogy, there are many ways to record the passage of time.

Kate.

A lovely altered time themed book Kate. The colours are very evocitive of a well aged timepiece/treasure that has been hidden for years. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us.

Fabulous altered book cover, Kate!! It needed a little something to liven it up! It's really cool how the book already has an embossed cover, but you've just bumped up its beauty trifold!! I love the pen nib clock hands!! XOXO-Shari
