2015 Topic 13: Time
Hi Clare Lloyd here with a little fabric make for you this evening.
Step One: Working on a large scrap of poly cotton fabric I stenciled a thin layer of Cheesecake through EEG016 stencil and stamped an image from ECL01 using Limelight.
Step Two: Then came some stamping using Forget me not Archival Ink.
Step Three: More layers stamping using Orchid and Black Archival Ink. I added a few random time based words from EEG01 and a small stencil pattern across my fabric using Pearl Glaze. Once dry, I tore the fabric into 3 strips.
Step Five: Plait the strips together.
Step Six: Attach a toggle clasp.
My fabric watch strap was created by plaiting the fabric strips, stitching them together using close zig zag stitch on a sewing machine and then hand stitching on a toggle clasp. The watch and butterfly charm were simply attached using jump ring which I felt would give it more versatility, meaning you could simply remove the watch and/or charm changing it to a bracelet instead.

Wow this is fantastic Clare! I love how the fabric stamped up so beautifully, this would be a perfect gift for one of my teens girls too! ~Leandra
