2015 #3 Wait For Me... {by Liesbeth Fidder}

Hi, it's Liesbeth here. I made this Time-Triptych with two of the wonderful new Hot Picks stamp sets, I really love the stamps !

I stamped the head (HP1504EZ)  onto a piece of masking tape, cut it out and stuck it on a wooden icon triple . I also masked both side panels.

To create structure, I used the stencil Mini Postcard and some Grunge Paste.

I removed the masks, let the paste dry well  and painted the entire piece with Fresco Acrylic Paint. I used Chalk, but you can also use another light colour or white. A perfect base coat: one very thin layer is enough.

Using a wet sponge , I started painting the piece building up layers as shown. I used Fresco Paints Mermaid, Bora Bora, Beach Hut and South Pacific. My favourite range ! :-D I kept the area of the head white.

I sponged some accents around the edges with a bit of Glass Blue..

...and did the same using the beautiful dark Inky Pool to create depth. I also painted the  cross-cut ends of the wood with Glass Blue.

I dripped down some (very) watered down French Roast paint, I let it just run here and there from the top downwards.

 I stamped the head and clocks  (HP1502EZ) onto white tissue paper, and the text ,Wait for me' (I didn't ink ,Hey') and the plate on a piece of cardstock, all with StazOn ink Jet Black.

I cut out the tiny clocks and the plate and teared out the face. After that I coloured the text and frame a bit with blue and brown Distress Inks.

I attached the face and the small clocks at the surface with Golden gel.

After drying, I stamped the several stamps of the two HP sets and Ink and the Dog Clocks Plate 5 , I filled the entire piece using StazOn ink again.

Ink and Dog:Clocks Plate 5

Using the watered down brown Fresco paint again, I painted some clocks and gears.

I finished the piece with a thin layer of Treasure Gold Brass at the edges and onto the Grunge Paste, I just aplied it with my finger. I added the plate (foam tape) and a metal clock.

Some details:

I used two brads to finish the plate.

Hope you like it ! I enjoyed the new stamps and of course the wonderful PaperArtsy supplies a lot while creating this ! See you next time !

Thanks Liesbeth, these are some of my 'go to' colours too. Wonderful use of the new Hot Picks stamps. The head is a fabulous focal image, and brilliantly shown off here with the supporting columns of clocks on either side.
