IT's a bit like 'eye-spy' bunting in this fun post from Alison with our quirky Ink and the Dog stamps which never seem to go out of date! Enjoy! ~ Leandra

Hi everyone, it's Alison/Craftytrog with you today, and I'd like to share with you my quirky flower people bunting, made with a wonderful Ink & The Dog Artdoll image. I used my favourite collage techniques with a variety of textures, and Tracy Scott's bright and funky Fresco Acrylic Paint colours.

I love using corrugated packaging, and originally intended this to be the base for my collages, but things took a different route. Isn't that Sargasso Fresco Acrylic Paint a gorgeous Spring colour? I think it contrasts beautifully against the kraft.

I decided to use mount board bases, and cut some tags using a Tim Holtz Sizzix die. It makes for a nice sturdy base if you want to hang the bunting outside. I used a texture stamp from Ink & The Dog Backgrounds 2, with Sepia Archival Ink. I think it looks a bit like a brick wall.

An idea was forming, and I stamped with Onyx Black Versafine Ink, and clear embossed some of the Flower Dolls from Ink & The Dog Dolls 2 onto gessoed music paper, painting them with Sargasso, Slimed and Cerise from Tracy Scott's Fresco Acrylic Paint Set 2. This is such a beautiful set of brights! I think it goes well with the quirky doll image. And, don't you just love the eyes in the flower centres?!

As I assembled my tags, I found some pieces of lace and co-ordinating buttons, and I couldn't resist a splatter and edging of Sargasso Fresco Acrylic Paint to bring everything together. Using some flower brads was an easy way to attach the lace for hanging.

I hope my funky flower people have inspired you to make some collaged bunting for the latest challenge. I'm going to keep my bunting hung in the garden. It's interesting to watch how the elements will affect it. Why not add some metal embellishments? With a bit of Spring rain, they'll be lovely and rusty in no time!
