GD: Liesbeth Fidder Project #3 Leporella Accordion Book {Part 3}

"Hello, it's Liesbeth here again with the last of my three posts already! Let's finish the Leporella".

 First I finished the covers and after that I glued the accordion book between them.

I took two sheets of Heavy Grey/White Board (15,2  x 15,2 cm) and painted the edges (1,5 cm) on both sides (as shown) with Little Black Dress Fresco Finish. Great stuff, the Grey Board it doesn't bend at all!

I gilded some lace by using Treasure Gold Spanish Topaz, just added a bit onto the lace with my finger. I cut four pieces from the trim, 25 cm each, and adhered them onto the middle of the board edges with a piece of tacky tape. They will be the fasteners of the Leporella.

Front cover: I stamped the pen from Lynne Perrella stamp set LPC030 onto a seperate piece of paper and cut it out, coloured it with pencils and a bit of Treasure Gold. I gilded a wooden compass from Prima-Cartographer Wood Icons with Treasure Gold too, and attached compass and pen by using a piece of metal chain.

I stamped the beautiful text (ID02EZ) onto one of the relief cards with black StazOn, I choose the most beautiful one for that. The other will become the back cover. Add the pen and compass with some small pieces of 3d foam tape.

I sponged the edges of the two cards with black StazOn Ink and glued them onto the boards, on the lace side. I used tacky glue, you van also use tacky tape of course.

At last I glued the book onto the other side of the covers as shown.

Almost ready! I needed a little something to complete the front and back cover so I finished by glueing metal corner pieces at the eight corners.

This is how the finished Leporella looks inside. I hope you like it and hope I inspired you to playalong!

Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome last month and for the tin-burning-fun we had!! Hope to see you next month.
