"Hello everyone, Keren back for my second month. Now normally I'd show the finished result but I'm going to keep you guessing slightly. It could be a display cabinet for showing off lovely Fresco Paints .... but it isn't! This is how it began" ....
A totally un-inspiring display box. I wanted something to show my tags in. I thought it was just a front less shadowbox and I could use it to photograph my tags in. I took it apart, painted it in Snowflake and added a cuphook to the top left part.
At this point I wanted to stamp the outside frame but leave the inside blank so it didn't 'fight' with the contents. Fighting is rarely good I find ;-)!
I used the Hot Pick 1301 set for the whole project. I was going to add in another few stamps but found this to be so versatile and captivating, that I didn't need any other set! (for this project at least!)
I stamped all over the frame using the different stamps to create a 'clean' collage.
I was going to remove the glass front to the frame and then thought it would look lovely stamped on. As you all know, Stazon is the only ink designed for non-porous surfaces and I thought white would create a subtle effect on the glass. I actually rubbed off a small part of the stamped image while still wet as it looked a bit boxy.
The effect, (minus my very messy craft desk) is really pretty. I hope you'll come back tomorrow when it will all start to make sense!
Until tomorrow evening folks.
