GD: Liesbeth Fidder Project #2 Peeled Paint Hanging Board {Part 2}

"Hello everyone, it's Liesbeth again. Today we're going to finish the wall hanging we started yesterday". 

I cut a sheet of Smoothy Heavy Weight White Stamping Card in two pieces and painted one with Anarctic, Sky and Cheesecake Fresco Finish paint.

After drying, I stamped the large collage stamp from (Lynne Perrella Collection 030) on it with Black StazOn Ink  and cut out the eight images post stamp images I liked most. (Don't throw away the left overs!! 

Next I cut four pieces of Grey-White Board, Heavy, size 2,2 x 3,1 cm, the same size as the images. I cut out small segments as shown out of the top and the bottom to make it easy to insert screws later. 

I glued 2 stamped images onto each piece of board and added screws by using tacky glue. I also inserted some screws  at the bottom of the wall hanging.

I finished my home-made embellishments by painting the edges and screws with Cinnamon FrescoFinish Paint then I added some Treasure Gold (Brass and Sapphire) .. onto four small metal keys as well. I then assembled everything as shown.

I'm not a very stingy person, but as I "never" throw away a very beautiful left over scrap, I'm going to show you what I made from it tomorrow evening, I hope you'll join me again then!

GD: Kate Yetter Project #3 Grey Board Tag

"Hello all, Kate here welcome back for my last day of working with the amazing Lynne Perrella Stamps! I am in LOVE with this collection because it is everything unique and vintage that I love in a stamp. I am making a tag today so lets get started".

I cut a piece of Smoothy White Stamping Card the same size as my Grey/White Board Heavy and sent it through an embossing folder.

I glued the embossed cardstock down to the Grey/White Board shaped tag.

My image was stamped from the LPC027 and I cut it out and coloured it using Vanilla, Caramel, Orchid, Ice Blue and Bora Bora.

I sprayed the background with yellow, orange and blue ink sprays.

Using my finger, I rubbed the embossed areas with Copper Treasure Gold.

I cut out a gear from the Chatsworth Paper Collection using a Spellbinders Die.

The gear was lightly sprayed with blue ink.

A strip of Chatsworth Paper was torn to fit the height of the tag. PaperArtsy Lace was cut for the top of the tag.

  

After gluing on the strip of torn paper, I added some gesso with a palette knife over the patterned paper.

I sprayed and dripped some blue ink.

Once dry, I sprayed and dripped red ink. A script stamp was stamped in the background.

I added the gear and doily to embellish then layered the stamped image over the top. I added a layer of Fresco Finish Crackle Glaze over the stamped image to make the colors pop.

GD: Kate Yetter Project #3 Tag Board

Hello everyone, Kate here with my final project of the week. These 3 nights seem to fly by.

Items from PaperArtsy are as follows: HP1302EZ, HP1306EZ, Heavy Grey Board Tags, Fresco Finish Paints (IceBlue, Vanilla, Irish Cream, French Roast, Bora Bora, Caramel, Crackle Glaze), Crunchy Waxed Kraft Paper, Smoothy White Stamping Card Paper Flowers. From my stash: Buccaneer Bay Blue Ink Spray, Smooch Spritz Sea Kiss, I Am Roses Flowers, Gesso.

I spread Fresco Finish Ice Blue with a palette knife completely covering my Heavy Grey Board Tag.

Next I spread a thin coat of Fresco Finish Crackle Glaze over the entire tag.

Once the Crackle Glaze was completely dry, I painted a coat of Fresco Finish Vanilla over the top. The crackles appear pretty quickly.

I stamped my image from HP1303EZ and colored it in using Fresco Finish Bora Bora and Distress Markers.

I also used the oval stamp from HP1303EZ.

I stamped a script stamp from HP1306EZ on the tag background.

I added more stamping on the background from HP1302EZ.

Fresco Finish Caramel, Irish Cream and IceBlue were used to color my stamped image.

I sketched some shadows onto my stamped image with a micro pen.

I cut a rectangle from the Crunchy Waxed Kraft Paper.

I crinkled the paper by rolling it into a ball and then flattening it out.

I painted over the wax paper with a wash of Fresco Finish French Roast. I was attempting to give it a more leather-like appearance.

I used Lindy’s Moon Shadow Buccaneer Bay Blue on my tag background, allowing it to drip. (Can you tell by now that I love drippy paint?)

I added some more drips using Smooch Spritz Sea Kiss.

I attached the stamped image to the torn and crinkled wax paper with mini staples. I placed it where I wanted on my tag, added some flowers to embellish and used a palette knife and gesso to accent the areas around the image.

I used Fresco Finish Irish Cream and a Palette knife in the same way as the gesso to accent and add more color.

I found a piece of ephemera in my stash, washed it with a bit of gesso and then sprayed it with the Buccaneer Bay Blue spray. I cut out my stamped and colored image from HP1303EZ and attached it to the middle with a few flowers.

Lastly, I added holes to the ephemera and tag bottom before threading some brown ribbon to attach the two pieces.
