Card {with Vintage Ink and the Dog and regular I&D stamps by Suzanne Czosek}

Hi everyone, Suzz here. I have popped back to the PaperArtsy blog to bring you this card project. It is full of interest and texture and I hope you enjoy seeing the process. 

I have been busy playing with my gelli plate and the Fresco Finishes (Claret, Snowflake, Vintage Lace)  to create a pretty-in-pink background. 

I started playing with equal parts of Claret and Snowflake on the Gelli Plate as the base color mixed together. I took a strip of sequin waste and used it to pull the paint off and added in Vintage Lace.  I ended up with a few different pieces of background papers. .

I picked out one of the backgrounds,and began by stamping the Wings Plate 1 in Ranger Archival Ink - Potting Soil. 

Then I decided to mix in some script from Vintage ID02  using Ranger Archival Ink - Aquamarine. 

I  added a few more butterflies and text  from the Wings set in brown,layering them over the stamped script to build depth. 

I decided that the brown text needed framing. So I placed a bingo chip over the sentiment and used a brown pen to circle the words.

 I loved how the circles turned out, and decided to stamp in some splotches from the Hot Picks Xtra01 - Backgrounds.

To finish it off I added in a few smaller circles by inking up the end of my stylus and pen on the ink pad and stamping them around the circles.

 Finally I stamped another butterfly and layered it over the main image,  I then used watercolor pencils to add a touch of blue and yellow on  all the images. To add further interest I distressed the edges with a prima tool before matting onto black cardstock.

Suzanne Czosek {special 10th Birthday Project} ....

{a special 10th Birthday project by Suzz Czosek}

I am thrilled to be back sharing a project to celebrate PaperArtsy’s birthday!

I was out in the shed in the backyard looking for something for the yard and over in the corner of the shed was a bucket of wood scraps that my hubby has been stockpiling. My eyes lit on the wood blocks and a piece of trim perfect for the roof of a house. 
 

I quickly grabbed them and headed for the house to work on my house. I painted the wood pieces with Snowflake Fresco Finish. 

I then laid a stencil over the dried wood and applied grunge paste over the stencil. After that I used a combination of Fresco Finish Paints Mermaid and Limelight with more snowflake to paint the entire house. 

Next I sponged Ranger Distress Ink Vintage Photo over the edges.   

With this stamp I stamped the newspaper script across the roof using Ranger Archival Coffee Ink.

I stamped the little boy from...

At Home Plate 05

... using StazOn Teal Blue ink on tissue paper. After cutting the tissue paper I used watered down glue to glue it to the front of the house. Then another coat of glue over the surface of the image after placed it on the house.

 Hot Pick 1005 

Stamp grass from this stamp using Ranger Archival Ink Coffee along bottom of the 'house'. Repeat as desired. 

 Hot Pick 1009 

Using StazOn Teal Blue Ink on tissue paper with the word quote from HP1009. Cut each ;ine of the quote into strips.  Apply watered down glue on back of tissue paper and attach to house. Apply coat of glue over tissue paper. Continue until complete.

Screw eye hooks into roof. I ended up screwing it in between the roof and top of the square block. (see picture at top) Cut chain and hook to eye hooks.

Using Stylus and hammer  tap holes into top of block. 

Insert stars into holes with a dab of glue.

Stamp the moth using same blue ink on tissue paper. Cut out and accent with a brad.

"Hi Suzz here!  I am so pleased to be guest designing for PaperArtsy. My first love is stamping playing with new inks, paints and surfaces which makes PaperArtsy products a perfect fit. I work full time as a project manager, I have a lovely husband who is tolerant of my crafty endeavors and three children 17, 15, and 11.  We have a guinea pig, and two dogs. Our house is always going with all the family activities but I always find time in my craft room to create. My creative time is usually early in the morning before anyone else is up and moving in the house which gives me time to create without interruption".
