A note from Leandra:
Well the very clever Jo has found some cuties hiding in her wheelhouse, and yes, the monsters have arrived. Very endearing they are too from their toothy expressions to the deely bopper 'ears' I know these have truly captured Jo's imagination, and of course, they each have names and personalities emerging the more you get to know them!
Jo will be along to share with you LIVE her new products and ideas over in our Facebook Group, 'PaperArtsy People' shortly after this post publishes, and ... don't forget
These stamps are available EXCLUSIVELY from our approved stockists. Please check the list at the foot of this post to find a retailer online or geographically near you, it makes sense to order within your country where possible. Our retailers also endeavour to join the designer's live to share their direct shopping links - this makes it super easy for you to find a store with product in stock immediately.
Hi everyone, Jo here to share with you my latest set of stamps and stencils. This release is all about having fun!
Let me introduce you to a group of adorable 'monsters' I called the 'Doodle Boos' when they started life as painted doodles in my art journal..
I smile every time I look at these pages! They're all just so... well... happy!! I feel I am doing them a disservice by labeling them 'monsters' because they're not scary at all. They might lay in wait under the bed but they are more likely to jump out and hug you than scare you!
I designed the monsters with quite simple overall shapes and markings/details to make them easily adaptable. I want you to be able to create your own versions - bespoke to you! (Think of them as emotional support monsters or little pocket/wallet cheerleaders!). Only one of the monsters has arms - this means you can draw limbs - short arms, long arms, any number of arms! Anything is possible in the land of Doodle Boos!
I worked in a mini-journal for many of my samples for this release and you'll see the designs can be used in a journal and on cards & projects.
As always I want the stamps sets to easily work with each other & be interchangeable & they are! for example, the photo below shows the glasses from stamp set JOFY139 being worn by the monsters from other sets - I'll let you decide who wears them best. lol
I'm championing these fun {unashamedly cute} little monsters, they're not scary - they're happy & want to hug & be everyone's friend!
This release is about having fun with the designs. I think its time to meet the gang..... don't worry, they don't bite!

Jo Firth-Young - A5 stamp set 139 {JoFY139}
These two monsters feature on my original art journal pages. On each of these new stamp sets there are motifs that can be used with the monsters - sometimes things to hold or wear, and on this set its things to wear... who doesn't need a crown!! The crown is shared among the monsters - you'll see it again soon.
I mentioned I've been creating in a mini journal - finding ways to use the stamps, adapting them for different situations. On the pages below the one-eyed monster is peeking over the top of the page,... is it spying? No, its just waiting for you to arrive so it can give you a flower! I turned its hands in the first picture into ears on the second page. A simple oval shape can be both hands and ears.
This monster is just too cool with its fancy glasses and patterned spots!! The shapes are easy to cut out so I've stamped the monster onto patterned paper and paper pieced everything together.
I love the retro vibe of this sample which uses new stencil PS460 as it background! The word panel is from JOFY141, the flowers are JOFY140.
Jo Firth-Young - A5 stamp set 140 {JoFY140}
Is it a monster or an alien? I'll let you decide, it can be whatever you want it to be! (feel free to turn it into a fish or bird!)
Here are a couple of cards created with gel prints as the background - a great way to use up prints... or why not stamp the monsters onto gel prints - you'll get lovely unexpected textures and patterns.
I designed the monsters so they could be used on cards and on this set I added elements that you might need on a card - a candle (for birthdays) and a suitable monster related sentiment.
This release isn't all about the monsters - there are also flowers (there had to be flowers in a JOFY release didn't there?!) They can be used as a group or cut apart as shown on the cards above.
The card below shows them used with simple stamping and colouring (with coloured pencils). Clean and simple creates a lovely fresh design.
Jo Firth-Young - A5 stamp set 141 {JoFY141}

The monsters on this plate have real character! I didn't think of names for the monsters but I named the one top left of this plate - its called Dizzy because it looks like its been spun round one too many times!
I feel that these monsters want to be everyone's friend so to help them with this I created a panel to be used as a placard - add a post to create a sign or chains/ropes to suspend.
Its Dizzy's turn to wear the crown (JOFY139), and she wears it well don't you think! I think adding limbs to the monsters instantly brings them alive - gives them motion, character. I gave Dizzy arms - one to hold the crown in place and the other placed on her 'hip' - it gives her quite a sassy pose doesn't it!
Often during product launches you'll hear me say that the stamps can be used with any types of colouring materials & I thought for this launch I would illustrate this. Below are four monsters - they are all basically the same: similar coloured bodies, googly eyes, and same coloured feet but on each one I've used different materials.
Top left: Fresco Finish paints
Top right: Coloured pencils (Faber Castell)
Bottom left: Watercolour paint (Distress watercolour pencils)
Bottom right: Paper piecing
The word blocks on this set can be combined and repeated to create a background.
Dizzy is ready for summer!
This card illustrates how several stamp sets and one of the new stencils (PS461) combine beautifully, taking bits from each of the stamps sets - the starburst is JOFY140, and maybe not a complete stamp but a small element such as the 'people are friends' phrase taken from this set.
PaperArtsy Stencils {Large}
Price: RRP €6.58 +VATLarge Size: 6.25" x 9.5" (16 x 24cm)
Robust mylar designed to offer longevity, deep texture and easy clean up
PaperArtsy Stencil by JoFY 459 {PS459}This is possibly my cutest stencil yet! lol Look at those dinky little motifs! Perfect for cards and journals, and an ideal partner for the monster stamps!
A card could be created by simply adding a big bold die-cut element to either of the panels below.
The stencil is made up of two stencils - below on the left are the 'clusters', and on the right are 'the rows'.
The two layers of background card below (white and grey) have be stenciled using the clusters stencil - perfect base for our little one-eyed friend.
This journal spread shows the 'clusters' stencils combined with the stars from the new PS461.
PaperArtsy Stencil by JoFY 460 {PS460}
You need this stencil!! The stencil is made up of seven scalloped bands that can be cut apart and reassembled in a variety of ways - soooo many different combinations can be created and printed using the gel plate! or painted, or used with inks/paints to create clouds.
Look at this yumminess!! Retrotastic!!
It creates such a joyful backdrop!
PaperArtsy Stencil by JoFY 461 {PS461}
I love a stencil with a dinky pattern! This stencil has stars (you can never have too many star stencils!), and two animal print stencils - the same pattern but two sizes which I think is very useful. How often have you used a stencil and wished it was bigger/smaller? The fourth pattern on this stencil is 'blocks' and its a smaller {amended} version of PS310 - a stencil I reach for often but find it a little big for card making.... this version is an ideal size for cards and smaller projects. It can be used in conjunction with PS310.
The blocks design was also used for the original pattern for this monster - nice to see the markings echoed in the background.
Cute little bookmark created with the small 'animal' print.

JOFY Red Rubber Mini Stamps
Price: RRP €4.90 +VAT
Size: generally credit card (ish) size images
All stamps are individually trimmed onto cling foam
Oh the minis!! So much fun!! And so useful - motifs, backgrounds and even more monsters!!
JM81 {JoFY Mini 81}
A lovely cake design with a teeny tiny greeting! To make things easier (and more versatile) I separate the cake and sentiment stamps when I'm using them.
JM82 {JoFY Mini 82}
Just too cute....
This tag is a mash-up of several sets - sentiment from JM81, flowers from JM83, background stamp from JOFY140.
JM83 {JoFY Mini 83}
This mini is 3 stamps - the cluster and separate flower and circle.
Use the cluster to create a decorative edge to a page...
Use all the separate stamps to create linear patterns...
JM84 {JoFY Mini 84}
This mini will create a mesh motif as a background for other items or an interesting edge to a page - stamp and cut-out some of the squares as shown below.
JM85 {JoFY Mini 85}
I adore this little monster, its so funny!! And really easy to alter!! The simple shape means that it can be doodled onto to create so many little characters. Here are a few I created - its great to see how different they look with different arms - simple stick arms - long, short, holding items or striking a pose.
(whispers: I think this monster could also be used to create a spider...)
They are so adorable and so much fun to create & give personalities to!!
JM86 {JoFY Mini 86}
This monster has always been known as 'shock' because its looks like its very shocked about something and its made its hair stand on end! lol
This tag makes me smile - we would be shocked if we saw a monster and maybe the monsters would be equally shocked if they saw us!
I imagine this is them seeing us!
JM87 {JoFY Mini 87}
These squares are inspired by my #366dailydiarydoodles2024 project - great for creating a border around a page or background for monsters as shown on the sample below.
Paint the lines/squares, doodle within them, or stamp onto patterned paper - lots of options.
JM88 {JoFY Mini 88}
An alphabet background stamp is really useful - use it as a block or buy 2 stamps and cut one up to create a tiny alphabet! It would be so useful!
The mini looks great teamed with the words on JOFY141
I seriously had so much fun working with these designs. They'll be a fun addition to your stamp collection to use on cards, journals etc
I hope you like them as much as I do and I've inspired you to create monsters (Doodle Boos) - give them arms, googly eyes, personalities and also please hug them and keep them safe.... send them out to others to make them smile too.
I look forward to seeing your monsters!
