fun layers!

Hi everyone, it's Anneke with you today sharing a concertina folded booklet. To decorate the leporello I used stamps from the brand new JoFY sets. I'm the lucky one who could work with Jo's new stamps behind the scenes. I had a great time playing with her beautiful new stamps, love each set!
To fold the book I used 2 strips of watercolor paper. I folded each strip in 3, accordion wise. I attached both strips to each other by adhering washi tape to the backside. I would recommend to fold the book out of 300grs paper. This way the book can stand upright without problem.
This is how the leporello looks like when closed. The book measures 10,5x 15 cm.
I worked with Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics. I started by choosing the color palette: Mustard Pickle, Peach Nectar, Smoked Paprika, Pixie Dust, Cherry Blossom and Snowflake.
After applying a layer of gesso I painted stripes on the background using a flat brush.
Next I added stenciling (circles and squares) using the JoFY PS131 and JoFY PS132 stencils and Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics Snowflake, Peach Nectar and Mustard Pickle.
I stamped on the background with stamps from the JoFY 78 set using Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics Pixie Dust and Archival Ink Jet Black. I painted deli paper with Pixie Dust and stamped the large flowers on top. After cutting out I glued the flowers to the background using matte medium.
The text is from the JoFY 63 stamp set. I love how JoFY stamps from various sets can be mixed and matched with ease!
I painted the backside of the leporello with Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics Pixie Dust.
The concertina booklet has 5 folds: 2 peaks and 3 valleys.
Love that scalloped image. The stamp is from the JoFY 79 set.
To decorate the front cover I mixed word stamps from the JoFY 77 and JoFY 79 stamp sets.
The booklet looks great when closed as well, thanks to the ribbon :)
I
love making small books and I especially love making concertina's
because there's no complicated binding involved. I could fully
concentrate on the decoration of the covers and the inside, so fun to
do!
I'm happy with how the pink flowers turned out on the stripy background. I'll definitely use the large flowers from the new JoFY sets more often in the future.
Thanks for joining me today, I hope you have a creative week.
