"Hi everyone, it's Liesbeth again here, today I want to show you how I made the inside of the accordion book. Stamping at last".
From
Smoothy Heavy Weight White Stamping Card, I cut a piece of 14 x 28 cm and two
pieces of 14 x 30 cm. To get square pages and a glue strip, I scored and
fold the paper at 14 cm each time as shown.
I
applied Distress Inks Tea dye, Broken China, Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn
to my craft sheet by swiping the pads directly across the surface. I
scribbled a little bit of Distress Refill Ink (Gathered Twigs) here and
there. Don't do this at the centre.
I misted the inks with water and pressed the pages onto the wet ink. I repeated for every page, six times .
I
sprayed some water onto my hand and splashed the drops of water on the
pages, dabbed with a dry kitchen towel to create white spots.
I made the accordion book by glueing the three pieces together. I stamped
the several beautiful Lynne Perrella images onto the pages with black
ink. I used StazOn ink,
because of the bleach I used later. StazOn (almost) doesn't react to
bleach. I stamped every image onto masking paper as well, and cut them
out.
I stamped some parts again, the pens and the fringes here and there at the top of the pages. I used the following Lynne Perrella stamp sets ....
I
covered every stamped image with the masking paper and sponged the "fleur de lis" several times by using Distress Ink Gathered twigs and a
Crafters Workshop Stencil Mini Gothic Romance
I made shadows by sponging at the edges of the masks with Distress Ink Black soot, and I outlined the "fleur de lis" with a black fine liner pen.
And still, there wasn't enough ... so I used the Mini Brocade again, sponged it here and there with Distress Ink Broken China.
I finished the stamping with the calligraphic text from the Vintage stamp set ID02EZ
With my waterbrush filled with bleach, I created white accents (eyes as well) after I removed the paper masks.
I sponged the edges and folds black and put on some make-up on the women by using color pencils.
Some details to finish with today ....
The covers are almost ready, the pages are ready ! Tomorrow I will show you how to assemble everything and how to finish the leporella, hope you'll join !
