Hi everyone, Jennie Atkinson (Live the Dream) here.

I'm super excited to share with you ideas with this new release for PaperArtsy.

From the moment I saw the three fabulous stamp sets, ideas were just buzzing around my head! I just wanted to experiment stamping these gorgeous images on linen as well as tissue and cardstock. I decided to use  a set of MDF beer mats for these first three projects. The backgrounds are all similar using crackle paste and a light wash of Infusions (A Bit Jaded). I also managed to isolate individual words from Alison's Dreaming and Doing Collection which I felt summed up the images.

You will see ideas with these stamps from myself and Jenny Marples, another of the Team PA Bloggers. You can also see plenty of activity on PaperArtsy's Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest. (links at the foot of this post) So no matter what your preferred social media platform, we will be sharing with you!

Let's share with you these new beauties, some ideas from each set and a project combining elements from across all three stamp sets.

  New Stamps

All stamps are individually trimmed onto cling foam, presented in a clear hanging bag
with a laminated storage/index sheet.
  

Lynne Perrella Collection Set 041 (LPC041)

I chose this image as it was perfect for painting and fussy cutting. I used Infusions again to softly colour the main elements (A Bit Jaded and Terracotta). So many of the images in this release are perfect for layering - there are loads of butterflies!  Although it is difficult to see here in the photograph the butterfly headress is two separate layers. These wonderful ladies would look fabulous stamped on tea stained pages in a vintage journal or as a panel on a birthday card. To me she is a lady of  'patience".

Lynne Perrella Collection Set 042 (LPC042)

An example showing that you don't have to use the whole image. Again I have fussy cut and layered this image (four layers) and used the the same Infusions for colouring.  You will notice that all the backgrounds have stamping from the body of the large doll. There are so many elements in these gorgeous dolls that can be isolated and used in many different ways. I loved these two dolls just for all the individual elements which can be used on smaller projects - clocks, butterflies, faces, cogs, etc.  The dolls are stunning and I have so many ideas for making vintage linen stuffed dolls I am just itching to start!

Lynne Perrella Collection Set 043 (LPC043)

I really love this set and found it very difficult to decide which images to use! The tag won as I really wanted to see it stamped on linen. Every detail of the stamp can be seen on the linen (which is quite thick and an open weave). I again used A Bit Jaded Infusions to colour detail and layered two stamped tags over more textiles. This whole release seems to be pushing me down a textile route!  I can see the stamps from this set in vintage journals but also on vintage cards as many parts of the images can be layered to create stunning 3D decoupage pieces.

Project: Believe

I just had to use this stunning image on linen and so decided to make a small vintage panel incorporating more textiles and smaller elements from the other stamp sets.

Although I was going to use an MDF board I cut a piece of Smoothy Cardstock the same size in order to layer the linen and hessian. I used Archival Ink (Coffee) to stamp the image on some fairly loose weave Irish linen.

I then used my sewing machine to attach the linen and hessian to the cardstock.

I isolated a few smaller stamps from the dolls on LPC042 - these numbers are just the perfect additions to small projects.

The butterflies were stamped on old text paper and fussy cut. A new blade in my craft knife allowed me to cut out the area in the middle.

And here's to good old shrink plastic! I just love making little embellishments this way and my dreamer tag lady was just perfect! I think the dolls from LPC042 would also make fabulous mini embellishments in shrink plastic too.

I hope these projects will inspire you to want to create with these fabulous stamps. I have had a wonderful play with them over the last week and I just know that I will be using them over and over in so many different projects - both vintage and contemporary.
