New PaperArtsy Products: Ink & the Dog Minis {April 2026}

A note from Leandra:

It's all about the minis today, and this super handy series of 8 is a fabulous follow on from the last Ink & the Dog minis release which was some time back, but also had a postal art theme albeit a bit more vintage in style.
There are so many ways to use these, and i will show you how they worl well with other designer lines, and look fresh and funky in popping pink and zingy lime!

I have made a range of backgrounds, and it is easy to use the stamps for focal elements or in combination with other desigenrs stamps too!

Let's take a closer look!

Leandra will be along to share with you LIVE these new products and ideas over in our Facebook Group, 'PaperArtsy People' shortly after this post publishes.

These stamps are available EXCLUSIVELY from our approved stockists. Please check the list at the foot of this post to find a retailer geographically near you, it makes sense to order within your country where possible.

Our retailers do their best to join the designer's live (or replay) to share their shopping links - this makes it super easy for you to find a store with product in stock immediately.

Hello everybody. Leandra back with a new PaperArtsy release.

This time around it is all about the Ink & The Dog minis! Eight new designs in these compact, credit-card-sized, deeply etched, red rubber stamps.....

Read on to get some ideas and inspiration on the BIG ways these MINIS can be used...

Ink & the Dog Mini 133 (MN133)

This first stamp in the series  actually there are 6 stamps within this dinky little set: the chevron, 3 phrases/words, a grid and a row of numbers. It's easy to build a background with these or a cluster for a focal to sit upon.

HATCHING A PLAN

I guess it's not exactly typical to use bright colours for postal theme designs, but that is exactly what I felt like doing, so bright it is for this series of stamps and samples!

First I created a series of backgrounds, using all the designs with a range of yummy Fresco paints, I then went onto use them for the samples more as focals, or as bolder clusters. These initial painterly layers did get edited quite a lot along the way. I often do that and usually subdue the bright somehow with lighter colours, so it's lucky I took photos along the way!

STEPPING STONES

This could be a journal spread, but my journal is almost at the end, and so it's getting a bit lumpy to stamp directly into it, and this idea required a lot of stamping! So its on an A4 sheet of smoothy, which was easier to navigate.

I loved building up the grid, then adding all the details to the edges. I have pretty much used lots of stamps from MN133, MN134, MN135, MN136 and MN139

 OFF THE GRID

This sample uses the majority of stamps from MN133, but the chevron from MN136 also came to play as a postal mark brooch, along with Alison's 'mini me' silhouette stamp EAB55. You can see how the layers are a great grounding for the focal image.

And the 'off the grid' words seemed to fit nicely along the side edge. I painted a stripe of watery Chantilly paint for them to sit upon.

Ink & the Dog Mini 134 (MN134)

This mini is the only true focal stamp in the set, with this lovely Paris focal stamp. You saw the entire layout/ spread above, so here is a close up of the postage stamp. I actually stamped it first, then build the entire page, and lastly added colour.

STEPPING STONES

By painting it with the Ochre yellow it really does stand out.

DESTINATION PARIS

Some classic masking allowed me to stamp all these images on one layer, then add colour with Oxide Inks.

The circles are from MN138, which is one of the super useful stamps because it can work anywhere! We all love a circle! Or eight!

Ink & the Dog Mini 135 (MN135)

Another 5 designs on this stamp. We do try to trim them in such a way so you can easily snip them apart. So now its time to spot the zip, 'attention', 'confidential' in the sample that you have already seen above.

STEPPING STONES

MOTHERS' DAY

Just the little 'to/ from' tag features on this sample from MN235, but there is the grid (MN139), and a tiny postal mark from MN136. Oh, and an Alison Bomber flower!

Ink & the Dog Mini 136 (MN136)

Again, 6 stamps on this mini, and they are super tiny but very useful! Not exactly standalone, which is why you can see them creep into lots of samples already as embellishments.

AIR MAIL

In this sample I tried to make them pop as focals by raising them up and leaving a white edge.

Ink & the Dog Mini 137 (MN137)

Finally a stamp that is just one design! And it works well stamped with paint as a background building tool, or a nice focal support as you will see below.

UNDERLAYERS

ON THE GO

It's amazing how adding colour can make such a difference to highlight aspects of this design, the brave among you may be tempted to cut it apart!

Next up are the circles and the squares. Both these are core to this release. Perfect for adding structure to a page, perhaps for scrapbooking, but ohh look at the backgrounds!

Ink & the Dog Mini 138 (MN138)

NEVER TOO MANY

This background kept evolving, and the circles were added to every layer, and with lots of different paint colours!!

You will also spot MN140 (the lines) in these backgrounds a lot too as they added a nice contrast.

I loved how they ended up with watery paint added, Claret and Southern Skies really helped these circles come to life at the bottom corner of this sample you already saw above.

Ink & the Dog Mini 139 (MN139)

And it is a similar game with the squares, I made backgrounds galore that evolved... but of course you have seen the stepping stones sample a bit higher up this post which uses this mini a lot!

All SQUARED UP

FEARLESS

I love how the stamp can be coloured or not.

CREATIVELY PARIS

I made this sample 2 ways, if you watch the live I'll explain, but the same layout is done just with inks onto white card, and again, as shown here, onto a gel printed background, then extra paints added.

That is the fun thing about paint, you can do so much more than inks alone allow and the overall impact is deeper and  more layered. Shading is easier, layering is easier, knocking back is easier, and with the frescos, stamping over with black in or adding more colourful layers is so easy with the toothy finish of the paint.

Ink & the Dog Mini 140 (MN140)

And finally the lines. They are fun for journalling, did you spot that in the sample above with the white writing ? But you know how i love my backgrounds!

GRUNGE LINES

FRAGILE BIRD

This is another of the amazing stamps from Lynne Perrella (LPC 049), I chopped her up, gave her a new gel-printed dress, but she got to keep the birds, of course!!

You can see the circles in the background, also the lines really help her feel part of the underlayers. A great opportunity to add lots of the other little stamps to make it all a bit more interesting.

Many thanks for taking the time to visit. Hoping you have been inspired by the stamps, images, and ideas shared in this post.
