Hi everyone, my name is Sarah and I’m
very excited at having the opportunity to create a project for the
PaperArtsy. I’ve been crafting for as long I can remember, trying
out many different crafts over the years. But my love of ink, paint
and stamps started a couple of years ago after seeing Leandra demo.
I wanted to make something fitting to the time of year and decided on a wedding good luck gift. I‘ve used a small wooden rolling pin and horse shoe as the base.
These were
both painted in Spanish Mulberry, once dry crackle glaze was applied
to some areas. I left this over night to ensure it was fully dry.
The top coat is Vintage Lace, to ensure good “crackles” make sure
you’ve enough paint on your mat and apply in bold strokes, don’t
go back over the same area because as soon as the paint begins to dry
the crackles appear. I then sanded back a few edges and applied a
hint of treasure silver.
I next painted swirls onto to light
weight card using various colours for the flowers, trying to achieve
a variegated effect, I used Sherbet, Orchid, Amethyst and Dolly Mix.
(Thank you JOFY for the tip). I also painted variegated strips for
the wording.

I cut out the flowers I preferred and
added white highlights and ultra fine glitter. Then it was time to
assemble everything.
I’ve had great fun creating this
project, thank you for the opportunity PaperArtsy.

A huge thanks to Sarah from all at PaperArtsy HQ. How lovely is this, such a gorgeous take on a traditional wedding gift, a real treasure for any bride. Those variegated flowers are so pretty, it is so much easier to create this effect before stamping
