It's an exciting time for us here at PaperArtsy as we are so thrilled to be shifting Seth to his own designer index sheets. This is something we have been working on for a while, but it kind of hurt our heads a little as the logistics are a tad tricky. Seth has so many minis which came under the Eclectica³ Minis series (EM), and as you may well be aware, other designers also have minis within this series,so the codes were not consecutive.
With his own new index sheets, Seth has new product codes starting from SAM001 (Seth Apter mini 001 through SAM080). Seth's A5 stamp sets numbers stay the same with a slightly amended prefix; now called SA001 (previously ESA01)
If you need an explanatory cheat sheet for the minis you will find one with images here and the old and new codes are shown on the document too.
This new release offers some distinctive shapes and patterns, of course in an abstract vibe, there's a tickle of typography but the cohesive overarching theme is lines. Come and check it out.

Hello to all of you. Seth Apter here...back with my newest PaperArtsy release. This time around it is all about the minis! Eight new designs in these compact, credit-card-sized, deeply etched, red rubber stamps.
I am calling this collection Lineage. It is all about the line in its many forms. Much of my work is linear and inspired by the grids and the buildings in NYC. For this release, I leaned into my love of lines. Hoping that you love them too! Read on for inspiration on the BIG ways these MINIS can be used...
Seth Apter Mini 073 (SAM073)
RAINDROPS
SAM073 highlights my love of the line but also includes loops and dots for some much needed contrast. Depending upon how you ink the stamp, you can limit the number and length of elements that you add to your artwork.
Placement of the art can be vertical, horizontal, or diagonal. Or even several different directions overlapping. In all cases the design guides the viewer's eyes across your work.
Seth Apter Mini 074 (SAM074)
NEW ADDITION
I love a stamp that has a repeating design element and SAM074 is filled with plus signs - a symbol of positivity. There are also lines of various weights and lots of dots. Cause who doesn't like dots?
When thinking about design placement, stamping a design adjacent to other designs that include the same elements - as you can see above - integrates the stamp into the background and add even more repetition.
Seth Apter Mini 075 (SAM075)
CROSS HATCH
What is better than a line? Many lines. SAM075 has lines a plenty in the form of small, crossing lines. I like numbers in any form and these represent tally marks to me.
I have used this design as an abstract focal point but this stamp is also useful to make background details and to use color to fill in between the lines.
Seth Apter Mini 076 (SAM076)
SAY WHAT?
There are a lot of lines in this artwork but the most prominent are the lines of scratchy, faux text from stamp SAM076. After all...who says that lines have to be straight.
This is my version of asemic writing which is basically mark making in the structured form of writing. It is the perfect additional to abstract art as the meaning is interpreted by the viewer.
Seth Apter Mini 077 (SAM077)
POINTERS
SAM077 uses broken, diagonal lines to create a design that brings more interest and variety to your work than a solid horizontal or vertical line.
I love how the peripheral elements seem to be pointing like arrows, guiding the eye to the plus sign that serves as the focal point. Bonus is that the central figure on the stamp - a grungy X - can be inked on its own to create a different design.
Seth Apter Mini 078 (SAM078)
STACKED
I love the boldness and strength of SAM078. It is basically a stack of lines of different weight with added details to make it more interesting. In this piece, it serves as an abstract focal point.
Different sections of the stamp can be used individually to create a variety of designs and you can add different strips of color between the lines for a unique look.
Seth Apter Mini 079 (SAM079)
TABLE IT
SAM079 is an altered version of a vintage chart. I love the array of numbers but my favorite part is the crossing of the broken vertical and horizontal lines that make up the chart itself. Once again, filling the segments with different colors leads to a different look.
I chose to display this stamp on a lined sheet of paper to fully lean into the idea of a vintage ledger.
Seth Apter Mini 080 (SAM080)
BETTER LETTERS
I am always looking for new ways to present text and designed SAM080 to mimic the feel of melting words or letters.
I specifically chose to create this with words that could not be read. Much like the asemic writing in SAM076, this design allows the viewer to interpret the meaning in different ways.
READ BETWEEN THE LINES
I designed this set of mini stamps with the idea that the different designs were stylistically similar enough to be used in conjunction with each other. This led to a mini book where each stamp was used as the focal point on each page and all seemed to tell the same story.
