Hi friends, it's Tracy Hickman from @anonymous.palette with you for a 'With 3 Things' challenge post.
This feature on the PaperArtsy Blog is where 3 bloggers are sent 3 items in the post. Typically we will receive a stamp, a stencil and a couple of Fresco Paints.
We have no clue what PaperArtsy HQ is going to send, the whole idea of this challenge is to do something crafty in our personal style with these 3 items. We are allowed to bring other PA products into the mix if we feel it is necessary.
So let's take a look at what I received from PA HQ ...
Today I have made a pop-up art journal spread with some decorative stamped tapes to add into future projects ...... let's take a closer look
Some PaperArtsy Rusty Car Infusions using an ink blot technique started the project (sprinkling on one damp page, spritzing with water and smooshing the pages together to make mirrored images…)
Stamping the two faces in the PaperArtsy Tracy Scott TS076 Stamp Set onto PaperArtsy Smoothly Heavy Card Stock followed. (This paper is a game changer for crisp stamped images!)
After cutting out the faces from the stamped images, I added some PaperArtsy Crunchy Paper as a backdrop to the flower petals
Make your own decorative tapes using White Artist Tape by brayering on a mix of both PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Acrylics in Blue Lagoon and Rusty, (make tints and blends by adding white.) the smaller stamps in this stamp set were the perfect size for 1” artist tape. I store these finished tapes on freezer Paper for easy lift off.
This horizontal tape anchors the page and I have assembled the petals of my pop up flower and glued all together
The stylized flower is glued down after folding and fiddling around to make it both close and pop up. I added the long square stamps as a stem with black embossing powder when completed.
The final background detail highlights the PaperArtsy Tracy Scott # PS367 Stencil over a painted background using PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Acrylic in Rusty with clear Embossing Powder with Emerald Creek Baked Texture Powder by Seth Apter in Blizzard. I cut out and glued down to frame all four corners.
Detail of the finished piece incorporating stamped waves on transparency film and that adorable hand with white Embossing Powder
I enjoyed thinking outside the box of how this stamp set and stencil could be used and hope it gives you the viewer some thoughts of how to relook at your products and tools with
fresh eyes ;)
Stay Creative!
Tracy
