A note from Leandra:
A JoFY Christmas is something to look forward to. You have come to know you can expect a Santa, a tree, but a Christmas rainbow is the icing on the cake! We have not 1 but 6 wonderful sets ranging from a star-ful arrangement, triangular pennants banners, a blobby tree (you'll see), a be-spectacled Santa and a wonderful Christmas rainbow! How you start to choose I am not sure, but as ever, these designs are going to work perfectly with the words, patterns and phrases that are scattered across this series and that Jo has designed previously.
Jo will be sharing her new products and ideas over in our 'PaperArtsy People' Facebook Group shortly after this post publishes. I hope you can drop by for the live, or try to catch the replay. As ever, she will have a range of beautiful samples and ideas to share with you.
For the next few months, these stamps are available EXCLUSIVELY from our approved stockists. Please check the list at the foot of this post or from the stockist tab at the top of the PA Blog to find a retailer online or geographically near you - it makes sense to order within your country where possible to minimise freight costs and to get faster delivery.
Hi everyone, Jo Firth-Young here with you this evening to deliver some early Christmas cheer in the form of SIX, yes six (!) new JOFY stamp sets.
In preparation for this blog post I looked back over the 11 years that I've been designing stamps for PaperArtsy - my very first release was a set of 8 Christmas stamp plates & 8 minis and I've designed festive stamps every year since - or so I thought but somewhere in the middle I took a year off - well you can have too much Christmas can't you?! No! Of course not, so here I am with another fabulously festive release!
These stamps were a real labour of love and I'm so happy to share them with you. I designed them to be easy to use, versatile and really useful - I think JOFY117 is going to be especially useful with lots of mix and match words.

Yes, there are trees, a snowman, and lots of fiddly twiddly festive bits - and an adorable twinkly Father Christmas on JOFY121!! He's too jolly to keep a naughty list isn't he?! lol
There are sketched circle designs scattered throughout these stamp sets - these have been designed to work with stencil PS250 - making it easy to add colour to the backgrounds.
OK... pull on your Christmas sweater and pour yourself an eggnog - lets take a look at the new stamps....
JOFY Stamp Collection: Set 116 (JOFY116)
For many crafters, myself included, Christmas is a time when we make lots of greeting cards. To make this process 'easier', or quicker I wanted to design a stamp that would fill a standard 10x21cm card. This size of stamp is too big to fit along the bottom of a stamp plate, so we have put the design on its side so we can go BIG - if you bend your head to the right you'll see the design running down the left hand side of the plate. This image is inspired by the stars I have on a high gallery shelf in my house - I put them up at Christmas and like them so much most of them stay out all year long.
The image looks great when given a chalk board effect.
I thought a couple of the images would work well by themselves so I added them as single stamps, as used on the card & tag below. The various words can be assembled to form different phrases
The single stamps can be arranged on a card, along with those cut from the main image (like the wood star in the photo below)
I've had requests over the years for a set of word stamps. I've designed large word stamps on previous sets but we thought it fun (and useful) to have words/styles that could be mixed, matched and assembled in different ways to create many different sentiments for use inside or outside of cards, and on journal pages.
The tags on the board below show a selection of the possible phrases you can make ...
This Nutcracker, with his very fancy facial hair, has been lurking in my sketchbook since last Christmas. I've drawn only his head and shoulders which means he could be anything - I'm hoping someone will stamp him out and give him a smart uniform ready for the festive season. There are so many nutcracker varieties in shops and on the internet we could create a nutcracker 'army'. lol
JOFY Stamp Collection: Set 118 (JOFY118)
This triangular tree was inspired by a wood tree I decorated using last year's stamps (go here to take a look) - I liked the simple structure of it.
Here is a card using the large 'tree' with two smaller versions. It can be used stamped onto paper and cut out to form a solid tree, or the centre can be cut out to create an open, more delicate tree.
Here's the page in my sketchbook with the initial design for the new stamps... nice tree, versatile - dress it up or down (maybe add flowers in the summer...)
... then I saw the page from a different angle - & the trees looked like bunting! Lightbulb moment - I adapted the design so it could be used as trees or bunting. Win win!
Another page from my sketchbook showing how I adapted the trees into bunting - along with a line of pennants. This would be so adorable wrapped round a small tree or across windows - or, using only the small pennants, as decoration around a Christmas cake.
The single stars can be used to create a background pattern.....
JOFY Stamp Collection: Set 119 (JOFY119)
Oh I do love a Christmas tree stamp!! This years tree is really easy for paper piecing - nice smooth lines to cut and easily adaptable to create different sizes. How many layers can your tree have?
It's great when stamps have dual purpose. I designed the dangling 'lines and stars' stamp (centre of set) as a border design, and then realised it would also work beautifully as garlands to hang baubles on.
I designed the sketched circle to accommodate the 2 smaller bauble and tree motifs on this set - but it could also be used with flowers or other motifs throughout the year.
JOFY Stamp Collection: Set 120 (JOFY120)
Is it a rainbow? ... maybe its a snowbow, or christmabow ... it is certainly full of Christmas loveliness - a candy cane stripe, baubles, garlands, snowflakes, and stars - it has it all!
The small motif clusters to either side of the 'rainbow' make lovely little accents..
I love a kinetic card - this pop out card design is one I've used several times (I've even used the structure in an art journal layout) - its relatively simply but has impact. I used the candy cane border stamp around the edges of the kraft card...
In the photo below you can see I've used the solid circle from the large PaperArtsy Stencil {JoFY} PS250 to create subtle colour behind the circle stamp.
This row or snowflakes and circles is fast becoming a favourite stamp! So useful - great as a border but also really easy to repeat and create a lovely background pattern.
This year's snowman is just a head - similar to last year's but smaller - perfectly sized for the sketch circles and small cards and tags.
JOFY Stamp Collection: Set 121 (JOFY121)
Oh my goodness - I adore my Father Christmas! (&I'm not just saying that to get onto his nice list). He is a kindly, twinkly chap and he makes me smile.
On this stamp set there are elements to elements to build up little clusters of bits and pieces to dress up projects...
The stamps sets in each of my releases are planned to work together, so you can mix and match the sets. The snowflake border on JOFY120 was used to decorate Father Christmas's frame. Here are the stamped pieces before they were assembled.
Another kinetic card featuring our jolly friend... You can see I've used the snowflake border (JOFY120) again on the background.
I've added 'ho' as a separate stamp on this set to make it more versatile - stamp it onto coloured paper with the need of stamping the entire circle.
This card design was one of my initial ideas for these circle stamps. Stamp 3 individual circles & because they are single stamps, not connected, you can arrange them vertically or horizontally.
The single 'HO' stamp is the same image as the one used on the circle - this means it can be stamped on decorative papers and easily paper pieced onto the circles. The stars cover the overlaps/joins of the circles.
I was really grateful to have a wingman to help me with this release - Martha Ponsanesi (@craftingmartha). Thank you Martha for your lovely samples.
Martha's pieces have a colourful modern vibe. Here are some of the samples she made using the new stamps.
JOFY116
How adorable is the little tree she made using the point of the bubble star!!
JOFY117
JOFY118
Using the mini pennants to make a star!! Clever!
Great idea to layer up the trees inside each other!

These cute vellum tags were created using the circle designs - adorable.
I hope this blog post has made you feel fabulously festive, and not at all bah humbug!!
I really enjoyed creating and designing this release and I hope you enjoy creating with them too. As always I'd love to see what you create with the stamps - its always a joy to see what you make. You can upload to social media (tag @jofyjo & @paperartsy so we can see it) or add it to the Facebook groups ( PaperArtsy People & JoFY Jamboree!! ).
Can I be the first to wish you (& I'm going to whisper as it might be too soon for some of you) Happy Christmas!!
Take care
Jo
