NEW PA Stamps Winter 2017: Zinski Art
Over
the course of this year, Elena's little monsters have become
affectionately loved the world over!
As you can see below, she has created some lovely seasonal stamps that allow you to create those somewhat quirky Christmas cards - very handy for those of you with a wicked sense of humour.

Over the next couple of blog posts Elena, along with Dounia and Keren will be sharing with you some fabulous ideas with all of these new sets.
All these new products are available from your PaperArtsy stockists now. See details in the stockists list at the foot of this post.
Hi
everyone, Elena here. It's time to start thinking about Halloween,
Christmas and all the lovely crafting that the end of year seasonal
period offers.
Designing
for Christmas and Halloween is full of inspiration in itself, so coming
up with ideas for stamps is like having a basic recipe and simply
adding extra spices and a touch more pepper. A little traditional with a
twist of quirky and many of them can be used away from the holiday
theme depending on how you colour them.
Tonight
I wanted to give you a sense of what I might get up to with these
stamps, but tomorrow, you'll get more lovely inspiration from Dounia,
followed by Keren the following post.
Let's take a look at each set in more detail, and some ideas with them to whet your whistle...

The
spirits have been stuffed in their bottles for a whole year so they're
eager to squeeze out because it's Halloween and that means candy time! I
think these will be great for both male and female birthday cards too
or one hidden amongst a shelf of 10 green bottles in a journal layout.
I've
used them in a row here on the kitchen dresser but they don't mind
being separated at all, they really are quite independent. I love the
size of them, even just one standing alone coloured in neon colours
would create a fantastic contrast if it's peeping through a black window
card or stamping just the neck and face and doodling some string they'd
make fab balloons!
I really love that these are so versatile, if they're coloured in Christmas colours they're very Christmassy, use a different palette and they will fit in anywhere

Chickens aren't just for Christmas by Elena Guzinska
This
little fella was flying around with not a tree in sight for him to rest
his tired wings, so Haphazard Hatted Harry climbed on Chunky Charlie
Chicken and caught him just in time...
I
love little characters and one of my favourite things to do is stand
them on top of each other and a fun bookmark is the perfect platform.I'm
going to make more in different combinations and this time around i
think I'll laminate them!
Christmas isn't Christmas without trees, holly and baubles with a Robin thrown in for good measure, but look closely, are they trees? Is he a Robin? And just like chickens, baubles aren't just for Christmas!
Happy Jolly Days by Elena Guzinska
Traditional
Christmas Card you say? Not on your Nelly! Who wants to stick to Red
and Green when there are so many beautiful colour combinations and even
though there are blues, pinks and yellows in this card, it works. These
trees are calling out to be used as hats easily by masking out the trunk
and cutting out a head image to paste into place.
I
used the baubles as an edging on one side and I love how there's enough
space on the rubber to cut and separate them if chosen to then they can
be used to make backgrounds in random order so it doesn't end up too
repetitive and regimented.
Whatever happened to finger puppets? I guess they got lost somewhere in time along with paper chains and magic markers, but I'm bringing them back! .

High Five for Christmas by Elena Guzinska
I
drew a hand, not a very good one, i should have just drawn around mine,
but they can be stamped, coloured and cut out with tabs to fit around
fingers of all sizes. Not a fan of finger puppets?....
...no
worries, these little peeps, again, can be separated and used simply as
little folk art Christmas characters on cards and journals, but also as
tree decorations and hangy danglybobs if stamped either directly onto chipboard or on tissue paper and decoupaged. I know I'm going to use these every Christmas, why? because they don't involve much fussy cutting due to their simple shape!
I've
so loved loved loved doing this blog because I'm a kid at heart and
Halloween and Christmas is just magical don't you think?! Thank you big
giant lots for joining me here tonight and hope you've had as much fun
as I've had. Love Elena x
