Face:Month 2. {with Eclectica³ Ellen Vargo and Squiggly Ink Stamps by Clare Lloyd}

Hi all, Clare back with another girlie tag to go in your wrap. Take a look at my last post for details about how I made my fabric wrap and my tag for month 1. Now onto month 2's tag...

So to start with I used a manilla tag and painted it with a coat of Snowflake. Then sketched my face and traced over it with a black Pitt Pen.

Next came two layers of Vintage Lace paint. A thin watery layer all over the face and thicker layer just around the edges and features.

I used the same technique for the hair; 1 watery layer all over and a thicker layer of Haystack around the edges. You will also see I have started to define the detail by added a thin line of Caramel and repeated with a finer paint brush using Chocolate Pudding paint around both the face, features and hair. A touch of Blush Fresco paint on the cheeks too.

Now to added more colour to the eyes and cheeks. A splash of watery Orchid over the cheeks and lips. The eyes I painted with Limelight, Tinned Peas and Little Black Dress.

For the background I layered both Limelight and Tinned Peas Fresco paint using a touch of water.

Now for the stamping. A little bubbly for the party girl! I used Squiggly 15 Mini stamp for that.

When looking at my girl she was having a bad hair day...LOL! A little bit flat on top and so the perfect solution was a party hat! For this I used a Ellen Vargo Eclectica 01 stamp and finished it off with a little bird from Squiggly Ink Flora and Fauna stamp set 2

The party hat was painted with Orchid and Tinned Peas. All the stamping was done with Archival Black ink.

Here she is all tucked up in the tag wrap I made in month one. She must have had quite a night!

Looking forward to seeing some of your painted faces this month. Clare.

A huge thanks to Clare from PaperArtsy. We love her big green eyes, and that party hat is so cute. A very different shape to Month 1, great to see how these simple shapes transform into very different personalities.
