A note from Leandra:
I got to play with these beauties when they were literally HOT off the stamp press. I find it so enjoyable to add texture with paint, into paint, onto gel plates and all the other cool fun you can have with mixed media art creativity. With Seth's range, inks, stamp and paints combine to offer you no end of possibilities! What a joy!
Seth will be along to share with you LIVE his new products and ideas over in our Facebook Group, 'PaperArtsy People' shortly after this post publishes at 20:30 Paris time. Our retailers endeavour to join the designer's live to share their online shopping links - this makes it super easy for you to find a store with product in stock immediately.
These stamps are available EXCLUSIVELY from our approved stockists. Check the list at the foot of this post to find a retailer online or geographically near you, it makes sense to order within your country where possible.
Hey my friends. I am back with another all-new release for you. I have created three stamp sets that reflect my design style: grungy, imperfect, layered, abstract, wonky, and symbolic. The combinations were created with the idea that each individual set provides you with all the different design components needed for your creative masterpiece
In each set you get two phrases and design stamps that can be used for borders, background details, make making, edges, abstract focal points, and texture making. Most are designed with spaces to enable the maker to either let the background show through or to fill in with color. Of course, as always every stamp can work with all the others as well as with my past releases. All these options give you the opportunity to make artwork that is truly your own.
Let's take a closer look at these new stamp sets .......

Red Rubber Stamps (A5 set)
Price: RRP €23.00 +VAT
Size:5" x 6" (13 x16.5cm)
All stamps are individually trimmed onto cling foam, with a laminated storage/index sheet.
Seth Apter Set 052 (SA052)
Set 52 includes seven stamps, all of which can be used in a variety of ways. The two phrases - Random Thoughts and Lost in Time - are perfect for use in a journal or planner. The other more abstract designs are tailor-made for mixed media.
Random Thoughts uses four of the stamps from Set 52. Aside from some splatters and a few hand drawn lines, they are the only components used in this piece to work over the background.
The Phrase stamp serves as the focal point for the entire piece and using the lighter color background surrounded by the darker frame really makes this pop.
This double circle stamp, the largest in the release at 3 x 3.5 inches, add a lot of detail with its distressed grid background. I added some brightness and contrast by stamping on a different color background and collaging the central ring of concentric circles onto the original stamped image.
I used half of one row on the two-row circle stamp to add a bit of a frame/border to the top and bottom edge of the piece. This echoed the other circles here and enabled me to add color by filling in the circles with multiple markers.
Seth Apter Set 053 (SA053)
Outside the Lines also uses one of the two phrase stamps in the set as a central focus. But for this piece, most of the stamps have been stamped onto other backgrounds and clustered into a single collage. Because all of the stamps have a common aged feel, they all work together in this way.
Four of the stamps from Set 53 are stacked and layered to make the central core. Darks versus lights and bright versus muted tones bring in the contrast and drama.
The circle stamp from the set is used twice, both times coming off the edge to add more interest and to guide the eye. The rough, scratchy surface also makes it a great texture stamp for any background.
For me the smallest detail makes the biggest difference. On the far right side, I used just the edge of the duo line stamp in the set. A reminder that you can use any stamp in many ways.
Set 54 has seven unique designs, including the two phrase stamps Collect Moments and Captured Memories -- perfect for an art journal, travel journal, daily planner, or any artwork as can be seen below.
Captured Memories uses one of the phrase stamps as its focal point and all the other stamps as layers in the background.
The fact that the focal stamp is small, and each letter even smaller, doesn't mean it can not be a strong focal point. Using a bright contrasting color and a centered location is all you need to make a statement.
The shattered glass/tree stump stamp is very dynamic and serves as a way to highlight and draw your eye to the focal words above it.
The broken line stamp is used in two ways. First, as is, to bring in some linear details to the background. Second, turned on its side, just the very edge of the lines were added off the top edge of the paper for contrast and movement.
We are not yet done as these stamps keep calling me to play and experiment. And then to play even more. One of the fun things I like to do is to stamp the designs on cardstock, cut them out, and then layer & adhere them in stacks. You might already know I call these bits.
I have to say that these sets really lend themselves to bit making. I might have gotten a bit carried away.
The end result - in addition to feeling good about all the fun I had - are these bits ready to be used either on their own or as part of a bigger piece of art. Thinking outside the lines (pun intended), these can be magnets, pins, focal images for artwork, gift cards, book marks, book cover details, and so much more.
My favorite of the bunch has definitely got me thinking that these would make a great series of holiday ornaments!
Hope you have been inspired by what I have shared and been reminded that there are a gazillion different ways to use every single stamp in your collection. If you do get these stamps and make your very own magic, please tag PaperArtsy and me - Seth Apter. We would love to see where you take them.
And finally BIG appreciation to the entire PaperArtsy family. I am fortunate to be a part of the crew and endlessly lucky that what I just shared with you is actually my job!!!

These look amazing Seth, very versatile, sadly internet not playing ball this evening and I just couldn't connect to watch the live. All I had was a whirly wheel of doom. Glad I got to read the post.
