2021 Topic 7: Stamp Mash Up
Nikki is restricting herself with the amount of stamps and colours - and her creativity has soared as a result. Using limited colours also means that everything is perfectly coordinated too. She used some fab gel prints plus all the leftovers to create multiple layers and some gorgeous cards.

Hi everyone, Nikki here from Addicted to Art to share my mash up of stamps by JOFY, Emma Godfrey (EEG), Sara Naumann (ESN) and Minis.
I
decided to use 2 of the stamp sets primarily for background content and
the other two as focal points. I wanted to make a few cards so started
with gel printing - giving me a selection of backgrounds to work with -
that are different but colour coordinated.
I began with 3 main colours of Fresco Chalk Acrylics (Lavender, Persimmon and Captain Peacock) and my gel plate.
The
prints were created using the selected stamp sets to either add to the
gel plate or remove the paint. You can see there are also some prints of
leftover paints - I keep these as they are great for stamping on when
you just want a bit of colour.
For my first card I featured the Ink and the Dog mini set 53 (MN53).
I selected three of my gel prints that worked together and cut to size. The base layer contains the leaves from Sara Naumann Set 39 (ESN39) - actually a Christmas set - but I just focussed on stamping the leaves.
You can also see behind the stamped words the swirly circles from Emma Godfrey Set 15 (EEG 15) - these circles feature on quite a few of the prints!
The
second card was designed in the same way and the same base layer, but
this time I featured stamps from JOFY set 101 (JOFY101) and a greeting
from Emma Godfrey Mini (EM18).
The bubble stamp is fabulous - with Fresco Chalk Acrylic (Captain Peacock)
on the gel plate I placed my stamp on the plate to stamp off - leaving
the negative image of the stamp - hence the bubbles / circles are the
white of the card.
The flowers were stamped on one of those messy mop up prints I mentioned and a bit of white pen work added.
The final card is very similar but with a slightly different layout. (I was running out of prints!).
The swirly circles from Emma Godfrey Set 15 (EEG15) can be seen again in the background and I have used a different sentiment Mini Set 20.
If
you have limited supplies or have so much you cant decide what to do,
these mash up challenges are great. I find that by limiting myself to
certain colours or stamp sets it's a great way to drive a bit of
creativity!
