JOFY Collection
July 2020 New Product Announcement
July 2020 New Product Announcement
A note from Leandra:
We
are squeezing in a new product release before we relocate our family
and business to France in September. Due to this relocation phase, we
will be closed online for trade and retail sales from mid August to late
September. Fingers crossed for all the relocation plans to go smoothly,
and we look forward to reopening our online websites (retail and
wholesale) early october with more new product announcements at that
time!!
So
just before we head off on our new adventure, we wanted to get out to
stockists some new stamps from Jo as she has not had a release since
March! Where has the time gone! She is itching to teach new classes with
them and of course she has 3 gorgeous large stencils to go with the
stamps too, and I'm sure you will enjoy seeing her ideas below.
Make sure that you join Jo's Facebook community, JoFY Jamboree,
where she shares plenty of ideas and inspiration with her extensive
PaperArtsy stamp and stencil range. She also announces any of her online
classes in there too, so if you are looking to learn direct from the
master herself, that is the best place to start!
Normally
we would have these products already shipped to our retailers in
advance of this announcement, BUT on this occasion we are not as
prepared as usual, so PLEASE be patient while retailers wait for these
to land with them over the next 3 weeks. We are VERY busy here making
stamps and stencils due to retailers stocking up before we move to
France (YES, finally the paint supplier opened a couple of weeks ago and
we have had 3 PA elves working non-stop to refill the shelves as fast
as they can for the past 3 weeks!), and all people and manufacturing is
working flat out here to help the retailers stock up.
If you want to know where to get these new JOFY products, please go to the PaperArtsy Facebook Group, 'PaperArtsy People', ask in that group and a retailer who has the stamps on order with us will reply I'm sure.
Hi everyone, Jo (www.jofy.co.uk) here to share with you my latest newest
release for PaperArtsy. I'm so happy, and grateful, PA were able to
squeeze in my new release because these designs have a lovely summery
feel to them and are perfect for the coming months.
This release has 3 stamps and coordinating stencils and this time I've thought about smaller designs; designs that can be used on cards or in smaller sized journals. Don't worry if you're a fan of bigger projects, as these designs can be mixed and matched with previous stamps sets to build into something larger.

Don't worry if you're a fan of bigger projects, as these designs can be mixed and matched with previous stamps sets to build into something larger.
My
stamp releases would normally be 3 coordinating sets but these are each
'stand-alone' items. I wanted to design sets that you could create a
range of designs from without having to also use others. Having said
that, in this post I will show you have they can all still integrate.
So,
lets take a look at these new sets: there are flowers (there will
always be flowers!), phrases, words and, well, more flowers!
If
you want to buy these stamps, for the next 6 months you will only find
them exclusively available from our approved stockists. PaperArtsy does
not compete with their retailers, so if you want to buy them, check out
the list at the bottom of this post!
Let's take a look!
Let's take a look!

These
designs came from a page in my journal where I was just sketching
flowers - all different types and these were two of my favourites. I
love the loose, 'floppy' petals on the bottom left flower... it looks
great when layered up with the top right flower which is a perfect
match. This flower also has a matching stencil to make it nice and
simple to colour, you can see that later on in this post.
The card below is relatively simple but still striking. Mixing die cuts in with stamping is a always a winner!
JOFY Set 96 (JOFY96)
This
stamp has been planned for a while so I'm happy to bring it out with
this release. It's going to be great for all kinds of card sending
occasions - you can see all the sentiments included in the set that can
be assembled as needed.
I just think it is really pretty, and there's nothing wrong with a bit of 'pretty' is there! It makes me smile! My samples are made with paper-piecing and painting, and I think it would also look great coloured with ProMarkers or Copics.

As
soon as I'd designed this stamp I knew it would be a great way to
create a cut edge on a page. On the card above I have stamped the image
onto acetate using StazOn Pigment ink (yay for having a stamping
platform to do that - no slipping!!) and matched the images so the
leaves continue from the card onto the acetate.
JOFY Set 97 (JOFY97)
I
like to make crafting as easy and as effective as possible so I created
another stencil to allow quick and easy colouring of the flowers on
JOFY95. A stencil and mask for the big flower, a stencil for the small
flower and a useful border.
PaperArtsy Stencil 206, large by JoFY (PS206)
If you look closely you can see this is actually a mask, it pops out of the surrounding mylar support. This means you can add colour
over it and the base colour will be protected. In the sample below I
painted a small chipboard panel in Nougat, laid PS206 and the
mask circle of PS207 on top and applied Mermaid and Beach Hut paints.
When the masks are removed the base colour is revealed as it has been
'protected' by covering with the masks. I really like this effect.
The
revealed lines are great for doodling in with white, or coloured, gel
pens. This is going to be lovely in art journals or on card
backgrounds.
You can see a project I created with this stencil further down in this blog post.
PaperArtsy Stencil 207, large by JoFY (PS207)
I'm
sure we all love using pattern stencils but sometimes you feel that
what you need/want is a simple circle... nothing fancy.... just a nice
sized circle, to use as a mask or stencil and that's what I've added to
PS207.
On the card below I used the stencil part to create a coloured area to frame the stamp, and in the sample for PS206 (above) I used the mask element to create a space for the sentiment.

Really useful.
Also on this stencil is a quarter of a circle design to create many tiled patterns!
Use
just this section in a corner of page to start a doodle, or repeat to
create tile patterns - great for decorating interior projects. Here are the two simple repeat square patterns you can create with the stencil.
I've created the spaces big enough to allow for doodling - it's just crying out to be doodled onto isn't it ?!
Project One: Florals Waves
For
this project I painted a chipboard panel in Beanstalk Fresco Finish
paint, laid on PS206 and applied Spring over the top - I moved the
stencil and repeated the painting until the panel was completely
covered. I varied the coverage of painted to create a slightly misty
effect which created depth.
The
panel (8x8in) is small enough to fit into my trusty stamp platform and I
stamped the flower image from JOFY96. I painted the flowers, added
paper pieced elements then returned it to the stamp platform to re-stamp
the details over the paint.
I stamped the flower image on to scrap paper and created a mask of the waved line the flowers sit on. I used this to create wave lines across the panel, turning it around and upside down to change the wave direction.
I traced the pencil lines in pen adding thickness, white pen lines and leaves for detail.
I'm so happy with these new designs! They are going to be fun to work with - I can't wait to see what you create with them!!
I recently set up a group on Facebook - JoFY Jamboree!! Feel free to join and share your JOFY creations with the group. It would be lovely to see you there.

PaperArtsy Stockist List
Many
of our stockists worldwide have their physical stores impacted in
different ways due to COVID-19. Most are operating online, offering
kerbside drops / collections, open by appointment, or open with
restrictions in place such as wearing a face covering, using hand
sanitiser etc. Please contact a stockist direct to find out if you can
visit them. Many are also using FB Live Streams to share with you new
product arrivals, and also offering a personal shopping service via
video calls.
Here at PaperArtsy, we are based in a rural location on the outskirts of London. However we are on the cusp of a long planned relocation to the South West of France. We are super-excited for this new adventure and itching to have a lot more much-needed space! From mid August through late September, we will hibernate our online wholesale and retail websites, and then early October we will reopen online as a French entity, trading in Euro currency, with French business registrations etc. We have a lot to get done over the summer to be ready, but in the meantime, of course, you will be able to buy what you need from suppliers on the list below.

Our stockists are your go-to for all PaperArtsy products, and we suggest that you also use the PaperArtsy People facebook group to source a stockist, as many of them are members and are welcome to share links to their online stores.
