There's
always a fight over who gets to work with Elena's newest stamps behind
the scenes here at PA HQ, (although it is written into law that Lauren
gets the very first ones, pretty much while the rubber is literally hot out of the press!) but Keren
nudged her way in on the mice, or is it 3 blind mice...anyway, the
bonkers has rubbed off and here we are! Mices and skewers! Perfect! Available to buy from all PA stockists now, you can find a current list at the foot of yesterday's announcement. ~ Leandra
Hi everyone, it's Keren with
you today, with the new fun, fresh and funky Zinski characters. I love
Elena's designs, she's always coming up with characters
with..ermm..character!!
When I saw this mouse. It looked like they had real sass. I thought it looked like a she (& these 'mices' can be adapted easily) and that she was strutting off to yoga!
I've added some lipstick, a rolled yoga mat (and of course she's donning matching earrings!) plus the background is some leftover from one of the next projects. How ever you dress them up, they certainly are mice with attitude!
This next little gem has gone cute. I know it's not quite the thing to do cute with PaperArtsy, but honestly, I just couldn't help it. Great images for kids, journalling, cards or fun scrapbooking; this little miss has it all going on!
I added a little washi tape tutu plus some extra ballet shoes. These stamps are just waiting for a great big dollop of your imagination!
It
worked pretty well and makes me less scared of paint ;-). Adding in the
little mices is easy and whilst not huge images, they're not too small
to add colour either.

Anyone
who knows me well, knows I like things to be grammatically correct, but
I'll forgive Elena and these mice anything! In fact the plural sounds
like it's always been that way. I think the mices and the efilumps are
going to have to coexist on all of our artwork!

Don't
they just make you GRIN! I decided to pop one little guy peeking out of
the clock flowers! Why were there no clock flowers until now?! My
background was super easy. I had a wooden skewer lying around and
decided to smoosh some colours across some PaperArtsy Heavyweight Smoothy then drag the skewer in arcs to spread the paint colours.
You
can see I've cut out the centres of flowers and added to the Smoothy
base using foam pads. To give the little guy a bit of a boost, I've
added some Slate behind the area I added him and also painted Turquoise
around the image before I trimmed it out.
These mice are going to wriggle their way into your hearts. I hope you love them as much as I do.
Thanks for joining me today, I hope you have a creative week.
