2018 Topic 2: Seth's NEW Fresco Paints
Ok so Miriam has pulled an absolute blinder in this post. {How do we have such CLEVER bloggers!} ...Miriam has stamped with Seth's paint THE MOST DETAILED IMAGE from Lynne Perrella, and it looks AMAZING!!! Love how she has made these stunning note cards ~ Leandra
Hi everyone, it's Miriam with you today, and I'd like to share with you a set of note cards that I have created using Lynne Perrella stamps and the fabulous new Seth Apter Fresco Finish Chalk paints.
I decided to use some of the main images to create a master-board for the background of my cards. The Seth Apter paints (set 3) are all opaque paints and so I wanted to keep the images simple but, at the same time, show how gorgeous and creamy the paints are. The colours in Set 3 are 'my' colours. I squealed when I first saw them - any of you that follow me will know how much blue and green I use in my projects. And the addition of Butter was simply perfect. I can see me needing to purchase another set very soon!
These are Seth's 'summer' colours which are so refreshing to use after such a grey and wet winter. The thought of lighter and drier days are going to be very welcome.

When
I send a note card to say 'hello' I want the recipient to see the love
and kindness that I am sending with the card. I wanted to use the Lynne
Perrella images (LPC033, LPC034)
in the background of the Masterboard that I was creating. As the
images are super detailed and I was stamping using paints, I kept the
backgrounds simple. These images are beautiful and I wanted them to
stand out.
I
brayered really lightly onto the background, wiping my brayer onto a
scrap of paper first to keep the paint transfer very light to ensure
that the stamping would stand out on the card. I also used a white gel
pen to add a small amount of highlighting and scribbling to lighten the
page.
To complete my note cards I used the 'hello' sentiment from Emma Godfrey Mini 20.
These sentiments tend to stay on my craft desk all of the time!
I really enjoyed creating these note cards. I thought that the colours in Seth Apter's Set 3 work really well with the 'elegant' Lynne Perrella images. I could also create a matching box to give these as a gift - I know several friends and family who would love these.
I hope that you have enjoyed my project for you this evening. I hope that I have inspired you to create a project for yourself. And if you haven't yet purchased Seth's new paints, I can assure you that you really do *need* them and will love them as much as I do.
Thanks for joining me this evening.
