NEW {2015} PaperArtsy Products: Eclectica - Clare Lloyd

Hello everyone Clare Lloyd here and I am super excited about the launch of my 4 new stamps designs. As lots of you know I love drawing and painting faces/girls and in the past when reading comments you have left here on the PaperArtsy blog or on my own blog that many of you shudder in fear at the thought of drawing. I even had someone comment jokingly “what will you want next Clare BLOOD!”

Well, never fear folks my new designs will hopefully allay those fears as they are all girlie faces (well there is one token fella!) I think my new stamps will be perfect for all you budding art journalers and those interested in mixed media projects. But even if you just like colouring and making cards these designs are for you too as the samples below will show.

Here's the video from Leandra, and stunning art samples from my assistants!

The stamps...
ECL03
ECL04
ECL05
ECL06

Project One: Girls just want to have FUN! Tag by Clare Lloyd using ECL03 and ECL04

I made a journal tag using a gelli print created with Mermaid, Haystack and Orchid Fresco paints. Once I had stamped with patterns and words from ECL03, ECL04 I used the PaperArtsy Tall Heart die to cut out a heart shape.

Then my focal image from ECL03 was stamped onto acetate and Smoothy card. Once I had coloured her face using Fibralo Water soluble Pens I attached her under the acetate and stuck onto my tag.

To add some texture to the circle patterns and quotes they were painted with Gloss Glaze

Project Two: Rainy Day Girl Journal Page by Clare Lloyd using ECL06

First, I stamped my image onto a 6" x 6" piece of heavy weight Smoothy. Then applied some Limelight and Mermaid  Fresco paint and wiped back using a baby wipe.

Then I painted in my image using a watery layer of Vintage Lace and Haystack paint.

I added more colour to her face using Orchid on lips, Chocolate Pudding for her hair and then went around the image using Eggplant to give real depth. Again I wiped back through a Crafters Workshop Mini Life Shapes stencil.

My page was finished by stamping my raindrop image using coordinating Fresco paints and adding a quote.

Project Three: Cherub by Clare Lloyd using ECL05 and ECL03

Once again my project started with a gelli plate print this time using Eggplant, Guacamole and Mermaid. I stamped my little cherub girl using black Archival Ink.

I stamped her onto Smoothy card, coloured her with some alcohol pens and added some Pearl Glaze to her wings. I wasn't too precious about my colouring/adding glaze as I was going to cut her out and paper pieced her dressing using another gelli print.

To add little more ethereal glow to the tag I stenciled through with more Pearl Glaze using a Crafters Workshop stencil.

I had a fabulous design team to help me with launch samples and projects. Here is some wonderful inspiration from:

Catherine Carter
Journal Page - using paints in background (Orchid, Mermaid, Haystack and Limelight) and then using the stamps for accents. Lots of doodling on background with white gel pen and black pencil. Image stamped separately and added with Gel medium. Quote stamped on Book page and added separately too.

Set of 3 ATC'S - Paints used in background (Mermaid, Limelight, Guacamole) with random doodling in white and black. Stamped image onto ATC and then stamped image again separately and added on top with gel medium. Each image for each ATC coloured differently. Quotes stamped on book page and added.

8x8 scrapbook page- I started with a layer of Mermaid Fresco paint and then used various stencils/painted paper to create strips design detail. The cute couple image was coloured with Fresco paints and the arrow embellishment made using Grunge Paste through a stencil and a touch of Treasure Gold.

Chipboard Tag-  began with a blend of Limelight paint and Grunge Paste which was applied through a stencil. I then took a small oval die cut and covered with book paper and Frescos. This was all layered onto a chipboard tag with Limelight, stencils and the dream stamp.

Dream Girl Tag- tag painted using Mermaid and Guacamole. Image coloured ink alcohol markers with a sprinkle of stars and some bling to finish her off.

Art Journal Princess- Mermaid, Guacamole and Limelight were brayered onto the background. The image was coloured with watercolour pencils and a shiny gold crown was added as embellishment.

(Sadly these didn't arrive in time for the video filing this morning at PA HQ)
These journal pages were created working on magazine paper using Fresco paints and water soluble crayons. They are part of a sewn journal which uses fabric dyed with Fresco paints.
