GD: Anneke De Clerck Project #3 Wintery Trio

Good evening, Anneke here with my final post of this month. I made a series of Christmas tags and once again I used the fabulous Lin Brown stamps and the PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics to work with.
For the background of these tags I used a crackle techique. I started by applying a coat of
Fresco Finish Slate to each tag.

Next I used a piece of Cut-n-Dry Foam to apply a thin layer of Crackle Glaze.

After drying this layer with my heat tool I added the top coat. I used Fresco Finish Chalk, Hint of Mint and Antarctic.

I once again dryed this layer with my heat tool. This is the moment the cracks appear, always exciting :). I sanded the edges of the tags with a sanding block  to achieve a distress look.

I coloured a wooden deer, car and tree from my stash with a paint brush. Used the same colours as for the background: Antarctic, Hint of Mint and Chalk.

I stamped on each tag with Archival Ink Watering Can and a stamp from the Lin Brown ELB10 stamp set.

ELB10
At the bottom of each tag I added a piece of torn paper.

I stamped text on it with Archival Ink Carnation Red.
I only used a part of this Lin Brown ELB011 stamp. Before loading ink on the stamp I masked the parts I didn't want with tape.

 ELB011
I put some vellum behind the windows of the car.

I've chosen to work with red accents for these Holiday tags. Red matches well with the light blue/cream background colours and red is a festive colour too of course.

Time to put everything together.

I added some torn washi tape and binder clips.

I stamped a tree from the Lin Brown ELB10 stamp set with Archival Ink Watering Can and cut it out. I glued it on top of the car and added some red waxed cord
More tape, cord and enamel dots.

Here the Antarctic version. I made it the same way.

I put some cord and a bell around the neck of the baby deer.

The text is from the Lin Brown ELB11 stamp set.

And this is the Hint of Mint version.

Here I added some ribbon by Tim Holtz and I stamped on the tree with a stamp from the Lin Brown ELB11 stamp set and Archival Ink Watering Can.

I hope I could inspire you this week. As usual I would love to see your takes, so join the PaperArtsy November Challenge!

Thanks for watching!
I'll be back one more time in December. I would love to see you then!

Anneke

A huge thanks to Anneke from PaperArtsy for another fabulous festive evening. We adore the car taking the tree home, how cool! Those touches of red really pop against the wintery blues, any gift under the tree would feel special to be wearing a tag like this.

We would love you to join in with our monthly challenge.
