Welcome Back GD: Anneke De Clerck Project #1 Box Canvas Delight

Hello all, we continue with the JOFY line in the first half of this week. Jo's range of designs are quirky, whimsical and very very versatile, so with that in mind it's great to see other people's interpretations. Tonight we welcome the lovely Anneke back.

Good evening everyone, Anneke here, I hope you are all well since my last visit. I've chosen some of the fabulous JOFY stamp sets to work with this week. Today I'll show you how I created this canvas.

I mixed stamps from the JOFY Collection 21 and the new JOFY Collection 26 . Next, I coloured a PaperArtsy 4 x 6 Box Canvas with PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylic Paints. 

I started by covering the entire canvas with a layer of Fresco Finish Paint Lake Wanaka. I used a flat brush to put on the paint.

I applied some Fresco Finish Paint Chalk and Ice Blue on top with an old credit card. 

After drying the canvas with a heat gun I continued adding Limelight randomly.

To soften down the Limelight I dry brushed some Chalk and Lake Wanaka on top.

I stamped directly on the canvas and mainly stamped with Black Archival Ink.  

I coloured the letters, petals and leaves with Fresco Finish Paints. I used the same colour palette as for the background.

I wrinkled up small strips of tissue paper and glued them to the centres of the petals. I added small strips, being careful not to lose any of the stamped details.

I applied a layer of Fresco Finish Acrylic Glaze Matte on top of the tissue paper to hold it in place and to seal it.

After drying I coloured the tissue paper with Lake Wanaka .

I added extra colour with Inky Pool, Space Cadet and Smoked Paprika. 

I sponged some Smoked Paprika  and Cherry Red on a scrap of paper, stamped the flower on top, cut it out and attached it to the canvas.

 I added some highlights to the main flower with Chalk.

I love the 3D effect of the tissue paper in this close up shot.

To add more highlights I overstamped the leaves at the bottom of the canvas and the letters with Chalk.

I decorated all four sides.

To finish the canvas I applied some paint to the edges with my fingers.

I did the stamping of the blue flowers with Lake Wanaka.

Green and blue: my favourite colour combination :)
