Hello, Anneke here again. Tonight I have a series of Holiday cards to share with you. We all need quick and easy projects as the festive season approaches right!!
I worked on PaperArtsy Smoothy Heavy Weight Card Stock and used the stars from the JOFY Collection 08.
For the background of the cards I used the "stamping with stencils" technique. I worked with Tim Holtz Layering Stencils but any stencil will do. Check the awesome stencil collection over at the PaperArtsy shop CLICK. I applied different colours of PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylic Paints to the back of a stencil with Cut N Dry foam and I sprayed some water on top.
I placed the stencil on top of the card stock with the painted side facing down.
I put a piece of regular paper on top and rolled with my brayer 'to stamp' the paint onto the paper.
The result is always a bit of a surprise :) I tried to work fast because the paint dries quickly. Mixing the paint with some Fresco Finish Acrylic Glaze Matte helps to slow down the drying process.
This technique works best with stencils that have a lot of negative space.
I stamped each star from the JOFY Collection 08 twice with Black Archival Ink: once on white paper and once on scraps of painted paper.
For the background of this card I used Yellow Submarine, London Bus, Blood Orange and Smoked Paprika.
On this card I used Limelight, Guacamole, Orchid, Candy Floss, Tango, Smoked Paprika and Yellow Submarine.
The wish is a stamp from the JOFY Collection 20. I stapled the words on strips of washi tape.
On each card I did some fiddling with scrappers floss.
On this card I stamped with Cherry Red, Smoked Paprika, Lake Wanaka, Ice Blue and Tango. One of my favourit combinations!
I couldn't stop trying out new colour combinations with the beautiful PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylic Paints :)
The finished cards measure 4 by 8 inch (10 x 20 cm)
Thanks for watching! See you tomorrow for my final post of this month. Have a nice evening.

A huge thanks from all at PA HQ. These card designs are absolutely delightful Anneke, the non fussy stenciled background allows the focal image to "pop". You have created some wonderful colour combinations here.
