Hi everyone Darcy here,
Wasn't last week just WOW! We had the welcome return of Jullie Ann Lee. and her 'Feathers and Bones series', such a visual treat. Julie was also busy creating samples for the NEC show, and she even found time to visit us at Stevenage. I know it was a real treat for many of you to meet her.
It was such a busy week for everyone at PaperArtsy HQ, getting new products ready for launch, creating art boards, sticking, glueing and die cutting (for retailer day kits) and all the prep that goes along with the huge annual show at the NEC.
Over the week our love of all things PaperArtsy was indulged to the max, as the twitter feed fell silent I knew many of you were rendered speechless by the sheer volume of fabulous new products. Not forgetting the nightly samples, a huge thankyou for the outstanding work done by all our guests.
Finally, an even bigger thank you to Mark and Leandra from the rest of the PaperArtsy team. Your fearless spirit, long work hours and visions for the future are all very much appreciated.

2. The week ahead...
Tonight we start by welcoming back Ellen Vargo. Let's see what Ellen has been up to since we last saw her. Well to start with she only went and launch a stamp collection!!! If you missed this exciting event then you can go HERE... and read all about it. A truly innovative set that will be an excellent addiction to your PaperArtsy stamp collections.
Over on her blog there were several treats awaiting me. first up, these stunning 'Truth cards'. Ellen's beautiful backgrounds create the perfect backdrop for the black stamped images, everything pulled together with the pops of white.
3. P.A.Weekly Challenge from....{Ellen and other guests}Over on her blog there were several treats awaiting me. first up, these stunning 'Truth cards'. Ellen's beautiful backgrounds create the perfect backdrop for the black stamped images, everything pulled together with the pops of white.
Next I found a really funky decorated file folder, which I absolutely loved. Here is just a snippet, go over to Ellen's blog to see the whole thing.
Ellen has also been experimenting with using a palette knife to paint with. A brave move, but one which paid off brilliantly as you can see with this seaside themed postcard. How lush and full of movement is this? and remember, it's done only with a palette knife..
Ellen will be joining us soon with 3 more exciting posts, packed full of scrumminess, so settle back and prepare to be wowed.
Ellen will be joined in the latter part of the week with other surprise guests, and of course, if you are inspired by any item you see on the blog this week, then please share what you get up to, and link your creativity here on the weekly challenge link.

Weekly Challenge guidelines
The first draw is for every single entry listed, so if you have multiple entries, you get entered multiple times.
The second draw is only for one entry per name, and the winner of Draw 1 is not included in this second draw. Having 2 draws makes it fair for everyone, no matter how many times you can join in during the week.
As this challenge is to show how you have been inspired to action by this week's designer, make sure in your blog post you explain what prompted you to create.
Please don't feel you need to copy a designer's work exactly, it may be one small aspect or idea that you want to explore that sends you into the creative zone. You are also welcome to use any stamps/ products / substrates you have to hand, we do not expect you to exclusively use PA products - but of course it is lovely when you do!
The winners are announced Sunday evenings in the 7pm blog post (as above). It is your responsibility to check back and see if you have won. If you are a winner, email Darcy darcydotneedles@hotmail.com with the name of the stamp you would like, and your snail address. We do not chase people for unclaimed prizes.
