Michelle Webb #1 .... My Friends Mean The World To Me

"I’ve had a very exciting time playing with the new EclecTica3 PaperArtsy stamps designed by Sara Naumann, they have a distinct art journaling theme to them, and I just couldn’t wait to use them. So for this month’s guest designer spot, I’m having a good old play in my art journal".
I love this sentiment on the Hot Picks HPXT04EZ stamp set. I knew I was going to use it at some point.

HPXT04

I started this page off with Zesty Zing, Guacamole, SmokedPaprika, Pumpkin Soup and Brown Shed Fresco Acrylic Paints.  {I used only vertical paint strokes for this background. It always seems to give it that weathered look with the vertical strokes}.

I started to make a tag a few days ago and then I decided to incorporate it into a journal page instead. I stamped my page with the "flowers" from the Hot Picks HP1004EZ stamp set in various shades of red, green and yellow Archival inks.

I used the flourish stamp from the Hot Picks HP1005EZ stamp set around the top of the page.

I also used the music stamp from the EclecTica3 ESN07 stamp set.  I used different shades of Yellow and Orange for both the "flourish and the music" stamp. I used a black Aquarelle Pencil around the tag to make it have a black edge and stand out more. It almost gives it a drop shadow effect. Love that!

ESN07

I stamped the "dream women" mini stamp (MN09) on the bottom right of the page with black Archival Ink.  The circle are from the Hot Picks HP1004EZ stamp set and I’ve used black ink at first to stamp them, and then I’ve stamped them again using Smoked Paprika and Pumpkin Soup Fresco Paints. {Those little circles are going to be a firm favourite of mine}.

Mini 09

I’ve used a text stamp (MN44) with gold Distress Stain all over the page, to add a little bling to the page. I can’t forget to mention the little ‘Wisdom’ stamp that was stamped under the tag from the EcleTica3ESN07 stamp set too. I think you can guess from my choice of colours that Smoked Paprika and Pumpkin Soup are my favourite Fresco Paints. {I just love the hot colours they make}.

I hope you like the end results and hope to inspire you along the way .... so what are you waiting for go dig out those Fresco Paints and Stamps!

See you all again back here tomorrow!

Leandra Says:Wowo lots of pazazz here Michelle. Layering translucent paints is so much fun, and the archival ink on top is perfect for beautiful detail.

Gillian Says: I'm blown away by the depth of colours and layering of stamps on this Journal Page Michelle. Loving your favourites too!
