2020 Topic 3: On This Tag
Intro
We're loving Nikki's colour palette here, evokes a sense of Spring, much needed after all the stormy weather we have had here the past week or so! Having the quotes in white is such a pop that they draw your attention and certain give you warm fuzzies with such warm and encouraging phrases. ~ Keren & Leandra

Hi everyone, Nikki here today from Addicted to Art, sharing
a Concertina Tag book (or it could be a card!) using new stamps from
Alison Bomber (along with some nearly new stamps from Gwen Lafleur).
When
I saw Alison's new set of quotes - Magic and Wonder - I knew I wanted
to do something positive and happy so decided to go bright! I also
thought of the mandala's from Gwen Lafleur's first stamp set release as
they seemed an appropriate match for the theme of the words.
I
used sets of colours, one darker, one lighter of each hue. The first
layer was patches of the darker paint in the three colours: Bougainvillea, Zesty Zing and Summer Sky.
I
then introduced a stencil PS169 from Tracy Scott and added my second
group of colours - again sponging in patches - generally over the same
tone. So the light pink over the darker pink etc. I used Taro Milk Tea, Butternut and Blue Moon.
Nearly forgot - but it shows well on this photo - before I added any paint there was a little random stamping to my tags using the scrip text from ELB30.
And of course some wonderful quotes from EAB16 - Magic and Wonder - inspirational quotes selected by Alison.
I took my punches and scissors to cut up and layer the geometric shapes around the quotes and tags - making sure I lined all 4 up next to each other to ensure the composition worked as a whole.
Thanks
for joining me today, I hope you have a creative week.
